Horford is 31, going to be 32 in June.

Kyrie is 25, Hayward is 27, and AD is 24.

If NOP is ever in a position to where they deal Davis, thing go haywire this summer and Boogie leaves, can anyone (currently) top a package of Brown, S&T Smart, and maybe Rozier plus some trade filler for AD?

Maybe if LAL convinced LeBron to come to LA IF they get another star via trade, you might get Boston and LA in a bidding war.

It aint happening because there is no reason to trade AD when he has two full seasons after this one before he can opt out. Then it depends who would even have cap room. I think Chicago is more on the timeline to make a run at AD than Boston or anyone else.

No way you even consider giving AD to Boston without Brown and Tatum. It just ain’t happening in that hypothetical world. There is no way Boston will even have the ability to ever make a run at him unless the Pels allow it.

Tatum and the 2 #1s.

AD to Boston.

Filler to make money work.

There is better chance Tatum is first team all star in next 5 years than AD plays 400 games in next 5 years.

You cash in 2 high picks while AD recuperates.

Boston would be ideal for AD as well since he could go there and not have to be "the guy"
He would be the very clear cut and obvious best player on the team.

all of this is if Davis wants out, which probably leaks and torpedoes his value a la Kyrie...

got to get picks. if Cousins is gone, i'd take on Horford instead of Smart for LAL/SAC, Memphis, and LAC picks.

i think that would mean Lonzo is on the table. doubt LeBron wants to roll with Lavar sniping at him all year. if the Pels could get Lonzo/Ingram + Deng for salary, that's a reasonable haul.

There's a difference between being the best player on the team and being "the guy" aka the alpha on a team.

Also, you might be selling Kyrie short here

Guards and wings are the go to "alpha" in late game situations.

Just like kobe and Shaq, but we all know Shaq was the top dog

Kobe didn't. That's why they broke up. You're point stands though. We can get a crunch time scorer that doesn't have to be The Man.
