Then we should be blowing them up to make a more enticing offer.

Read the RealGM thread about it. There's a fair few tweets in there where both parties are blaming the other. Truth is somewhere in the middle

This Tweet says Memphis got cold feet

Washington not wanting to pay Oubre is NOT the reason they are trading him. Every guy in that locker room who has been there the last few years hates his guts. Apparently, he is incredibly immature and they all know he is a snitch who has been leaking a lot of internal things to the media. They hate his guts and want him gone.

I don't care if he plays the position we need at a decent level - I don't want anything to do with that

Wizards are trading Austin Rivers and Kelly Oubre to the Suns, league sources tell ESPN.

So does this make Porter more or less available? Porter still isn't my first choice but I don't see Demps waiting until next year to make a move so if Porter is the best available option...Hopefully Hill keeps returning to form and looks rotation worthy and we can keep the 1st.

Sounds like Wash is gonna try to be good again first. The same crappy offers they are getting now will be there on Feb 8th

so the wizards improve their locker room and save about 800K.
the suns take a flier on a young wing (let us recall that a good SF is the NBA holy grail) and can play rivers big minutes while he helps them lose.

not atrocious for either team. wizards will definitely need another guard which could make FJ attractive in Feb in a porter deal.

Definitely sounds like it.

Maybe hoping a veteran like Ariza can spark a bit of that leadership and anchoring that Paul Pierce/Ariza himself helped with in 13-15.

To be fair, no one has seen full strength GSW yet.

backup point guard and iggy both out.
Center Jones out.

3 guys who play every game.

And cousins.

Do we have to sacrifice a lamb at Jackson Square to get a wing?

Sorry. Is willing to trade him for a late 1st. Do you think he helps Pels more than a Porter or Barnes? He has a nice contract.

They are the rarest, most valuable commodity in the NBA. On top of that, you can play several of them together so if a team is lucky to have 2 or 3 of them, they don't have to trade one like they would if say they had two really good pure centers.

The only ones you can acquire are vastly overpaid ones or ones with issues like injury plagued, bad attitude, etc

Lambs don't have wings.
Maybe a Turkey, chicken or.... dare I say a Pelican?

Warren is Randle, but he's having a hot stretch from 3

He doesn't pass and attacks relentlessly on offense. Below average defender of both forward positions.

He is good but does things we already do well and doesn't do things we actually need

It's killing my brain who this team can add to help improve the team long term.
Maybe I just need to accept AD leaving, but something tells me it will be a long time before we recover like we did from the CP3 days.

Bazemore seems like the most gettable guy who can help fill some of the needs we have. Guess it just depends on who might unexpectedly shake loose between now and the deadline, like Boogie in 2017.
