And you think because he didn’t take a shot he wasn’t impactful in that game? Without Draymond the warriors were a below .500 team. I disalike Draymond but there is an easy argument he is immensely more important to winning on the warriors than BI has been to the pelicans winning games.

*sigh*

we're going off the rails here, but no, I don't think Draymond in 2024 is more important to the Warriors than BI in 2024 is to the Pels.

Our offense looked nothing like what it did against the warriors

Are you actually of the belief that the big problem today was our offense??? I mean it wasn’t very good, but we were an embarrassing shite show of defensive incompetence out there today.

We are lol. But yeah I disagree in terms of fit and winning basketball games, Draymond is immensely more important to the warriors.

I mean, in the sense that Draymond is no longer the player that he used to be, sure the fact that he has fallen off a cliff has impacted the Warriors negatively.

But in the snapshot of just this season, this current version of Draymond missing significant is less problematic for the Warriors than BI missing significant time for the Pels.

I dont agree but like you said we’re way off our initial argument here. Im not pressing that hard on Willie for the BI thing- frankly because I expected him to do exactly what he did not because he’s right but because its Willie. But I just think you don’t have to be a HOF coach to find a better way to bring BI back and not mess with team roles and minutes.

Very easy to say all this in retrospect.

Normally I would agree with you , but I have seen this story before in the first game Ingram comes back from an extended absence due to injury. We play out of sorts on offense and defense.

By the time we get in a rhythm the game is already lost. Pretty sure we are winless in these kinds of games.

Willie should have known better than to start ingram

My biggest issue is not the starting of BI but Willie's approach to the game. Our best option is to either get JV or Zion going in the paint FIRST and then work our way out...almost like shooting jump shots. To come out and jack up 3s and not put pressure on the inside is stupid. As soon as we went inside AD got four fouls. Just think if we started the game that way. There has to be a hierarchy of scoring that all the players understand and adhere to. To me I don't see it.

I don't think that's fair to Willie though, considering every coach would've started BI today,

Steve Kerr had 2 time MVP Steph Curry come off the bench for a whole freaking playoff series after he missed 12 games.
