But we don’t

20 pts/6 assists/7rebounds/3 3s/1.3 steals per game

We have Kira Lewis

This front office is a disaster in evaluating talent

Yeah he’s looked good. Not sure if he’ll be a lead guard on a playoff team but he’s still better than Kira rn

We want Bobby Webster!

Idk man he’s looking like a total stud right now. Will easily win Most Improved if he keeps it up

Boy having a 20/7/5 PG that can shoot and get steals on this roster would sure solve a LOT of problems

Cole Anthony does nothing for me. If you would have said Maxey, I would have wholeheartedly agreed.

Him and Graham would be a nice 1-2 combo at point guard and it would solve our biggest issue, which is guard depth, especially point guards.

I think the question now is do we even play Kira anymore? He pretty clearly doesn’t have it and I would be pretty shocked if he gets a 2nd contract here down the road

Do we still trot him out there and see him if he can possibly be a good enough player to come off the bench in a few years or frick it play Satoransky?

There was somebody that wanted him on here, or maybe a local media member that thought he had high upside and would be better in the pros.

I really wanted Halliburton when he slid. Apparently Griff didn’t want him either.

It’s such a sin how bad we’ve drafted. As a small market team that’s our only hope. When Griffin is fired I hope they hire a draft savant

I don’t think that is correct, but regardless…

How many on this board are paid 6 figures a year to scout?

How many paid 7 and 8 figures to determine which scouted player to choose for a billion dollar enterprise?

It’s not the fanbases job to draft players, it’s the front office. But it is the fanbases right, because we pay the taxes, we pay the majority revenue, to voice our opinion about those decisions.

He does have a point. Nobody thought taking Lewis was a huge reach at the time and nobody was crying over not taking Anthony. Some players are just surprises. Honestly I was a bit leery of the guy after he started to tumble in the draft. Plus we had a horrible experience with Rivers. So I was OK with taking Lewis. He just hasn't developed. It happens.

Hindsight if easy. It would be like someone crowing about us passing on Draymond Green. Every team in the league did the same thing..

He doesn’t have a point, fans are not GM’s.

We can argue amongst ourselves in an amateur fashion about what amateur predictions were right or wrong, but the idea that fan groupthink has ANY relevance to judging or exonerating a FO for poor decision-making is ridiculous.

None of us are paid or have access to the resources an NBA team has, it is literally their job to identify the right player investment using the enormous wealth of resources to aid them in that. Then to hire the right people to develop them in a positive way.

Fans are here to judge that, our hit rate doesn’t matter, there’s does, because it actually affects the team and is literally their job. And if you aren’t good at you job, I’m not sure why you should keep it?

imho Stan did not see that as his job.
hayes was a terrible mistake at 4 or 8 or any 2nd round pick 50th or better.
his next deal is in eastern slibovia.

There is a lot of things I don’t agree with Stan on in hindsight, but his treatment of the young guys isn’t one of them.

I think the earn it mentality brought the best we have ever seen out of Jaxson and NAW, and so far they still have not matched their peak output from last season despite offseason to build on it. Same with Naji, who looks like a shell of himself now.

To be fair, Green doesn’t really have much in the way of options and Griff made it clear he is going to force his coaches to play “his guys” to stroke his own ego, but the results sort of speak for themselves at this point

look back a previous drafts.
pick someone else for all previous picks.
so..

not Davis draymond green 2nd round and lilliard
not hayes. tyler herro
not kira. clarke
not zion. morant

pg morant
g lilliard
sf herro
pf green
teeny.
needs a really big center.
trades happen.
JV starts.

Are you saying Lillard instead of Davis and Morant instead of Zion?

It's a butterfly effect. Change one thing and everything else is altered. I don't get the purpose of rehashing things past a certain point and maybe using it to evaluate management. Otherwise it's pretty pointless..

the op is Jonesing for cole Anthony v pels picks.
i just took op to its logical extreme.
redraft all pels picks back to Davis.
hindsight and all.
