There were a couple of times last night where he looked more explosive than any other real game as a Pelican.

he was a fine hire.
the bigger issue might be team building, which is on langdon and griffin.

trying to be patient with the 3 of them though, but the ONE glaring issue with SVG is his resistance to play rookie/young guys right now. I don't know if its from above to see what we're supposed to do with hart/zo this offseason or not, but if it continues into game 30, we've got issues.

Zion has peaked and just not seeing the development of several players I anticipated coming into this season.

no real offseason and a new system will do that.

Zion looks more comfortable creating his own driving lane. He's rebounding better, his defense has improved, and he looks like he can play 35+MPG comfortably. That's enough for one season improvement.

BI looks like a vastly better facilitator and defender as well.

you're integrating 2 new guys (Adams/Bledsoe), which takes time. Hart already said there wasn't enough time in the offseason to rework his shot.

Hart doesn't have a huge problem with his shot. The release is fine

Just sometimes he tends to lean back when he launches instead of going straight up

Stan struggled in a weak eastern conference. Somehow coming into the stacked Western conference, he is magically going to be better.

It was a poor hire in my opinion because it doesn’t fit well. As others said, he’s a known guy with a history, but I think they should’ve gone for a young up and coming coach that can better relate to the players. An old obese man is not what I think is going to motivate these cats.

Rather have Vinson coach him than Zo at this point

Agreed, Hart would be pushing himself into a full time starter if he could become a reliable catch and shoot three point player.

I thought before the season the consensus was this would be a year to allow allow the core (Zion and Ingram) to gel together, to evaluate the supporting cast and build for a few years for now. Were people really expecting more than about a .500 record at this point?

The record is just a function of what's happening on court

That's what people are annoyed about

Is SVG the only coach that won’t play his healthy rookies?
