Your's says 32.5, but the OP is 30.5. Has the line moved that much, or just different books?

I had a little more biased confidence in my team. Wanted it to be +money.

Can we please tone down the pessimism about 80% on the trade? Go ahead and be upset about giving away an unprotected pick but the same people that want to bitch about that pick being a top 5 pick is more ridiculous than the actual trade itself.

It’s just a very stupid trade to make in the NBA. It could end up being the best trade the pelicans ever made. But that would be dumb luck. NBA draft capital after the first 4 picks flattens out in terms of value, and that’s why top 4 protection is so common.

It was reckless and irresponsible, but par for the course with this group. I know the wins in Australia have everyone thinking this is a conference final type team, but tap the brakes.

30.5 wins is a good line and I’d be pleasantly surprised if we get to 30.

All I see when I read this, you don't want Queen and don't have faith that he is going to be a good NBA player.

If we don't make the trade, we don't get him. The Hawks do not make the trade without us giving them an unprotected selection. To say otherwise is a lie. It's a gamble, but I'm glad we did it..

I'm kind of over the trade. Just don't care at this point, I'm sure I'll be upset about it during the season when we are clear a bottom 5 team and that draft pick will be looking awfully good. But for now I'm over it and hope Queen is a beast.

But, in his defense, why would anyone have good faith that a 13th overall pick in the NBA is going to be a good NBA player. Most of the time they are not, much less worth giving up a top pick with much more safety to it only to move up 10 spots.

I'm going to be rooting for Queen. I'm not a guy to root against a Pel. Hell I was on here defending Solomon Hill for years just because I hated bashing active Pels. I hope he works out, but I have little hope that the 13th overall pick will be worth what we gave up.

I think if you see the vision I see for Queen, you would be a lot higher on him especially in the long run. I'm looking at the actions they're running with Looney out there and I can see Queen running a lot of those actions but being a much bigger scoring threat than Daymond and Looney in those same sets/actions.

Post Split actions with Queen has some serious potential. I understand why they brought Looney in now. We can run actions that we could never run before. Looney is such a high IQ player on offense that can open up the offense through the type of plays we can run. We are already seeing it in the first 2 Australian games. I'm excited to see what else they incorporate after a week break when we see the starting 5 for a significant amount of time against Houston.

We will be fighting for a playin spot, which is top 20. To be a bottom 5 team, we have to have massive injuries, then shut down and tank. There is no incentive for us to do that. That will have for at least 6 teams at the end of the year. Where they strip down, sit players and intentionally lose.i don't see how we logically get that low.

Now, if we finish slotted for the 8th-12th pick, then win the lottery, to finish with a top 4 selection, that'll be rough. But I think it's worth the gamble to have the talent now..
