if we're using Grit and Grind as an example for what to do on offense, that person has no clue what they are talking about. their offenses were putrid. their defenses were top notch and won them games. Boogie/Davis arent good enough there (yet...maybe ever) to do that.
I was thinking closer to what Utah is doing.

that way is not dribble up and post. they did some of that last night. they failed at times.
They didn't just fail, they often were able to stop it with just Nene single coverage. Cousins is the best post big since Shaq and he got stopped by Nene with some credit to Houston's rotations.

the reason entire reason Davis/Cousins can work is because they can play outside the paint. they have to in the modern NBA
Yeah, what we saw last night, post up iso ball is probably all you can implement in a day, but for AD/Cousins to work you're going to need a lot of movement. In theory you should be able to have a 3 man game between the Big 3asy with shooters in the corners if it breaks down.

I was not a fan of the Gentry hire, I feel like he has 24 games to prove he can coach this team. We do not have to make the playoffs but,
If we start to gel and look like we are going in the right direction then keep Gentry.
If we continue to look bad and lost then we need a new coach.
Having Cousins and a healthy team takes away excuses with Gentry.

It happens all the time. Coaches are fired and hired in the NBA often. It isn't like other sports.

Let me try this another way:
If a coach is a very good coach, and his team is running his system, then it doesn't matter who the players are. They will run that system well. If they don't have enough talent, they will still lose, but you can always tell when a team is "well-coached" despite having inferior talent. Agree?
If you agree, do you look at the Pelicans, regardless of talent, and think, on a nightly basis "Man, that team is well coached"?
If you mark yes, drive to your nearest asylum and check yourself in.

you're so full of hater-aide you won't allow yourself to see anything positive about him. my advice is xanax. because you'll be seeing a lot of him in the future.

Let's hear the positives.
Players like him. He is good as an assistant coach.

talk to coaches, players and management around the league.
or go with your nola homer opinion. either way, like i said, doesn't matter because he's going to be here next season.
your hate is misplaced, should be aimed at demps and loomis
