If they going to report Graham, then report it with accuracy. He has one year left after this year at 12M. The second is non guaranteed which is more palatable.

The last year is partially guaranteed ($2.875 million).

He's not big enough to guard most of the centers the Pelicans could see in the playoffs, and he's shooting 26% from 3 this year, so he's not a floor placer on offense.

I really think they may be looking at Collins as a means to get a bigger piece.

There’s a few teams that’s interested in him including Utah, Indiana and now Houston, so we could be looking at acquisition cost to help facilitate a larger deal.

ScoopB on twitter replied to a post saying that we were looking for a blockbuster trade with a red pin like this has something to it. Honestly I trust ScoopB more than any of our local reporters lol.

Theres just way to much smoke around us to think we aren’t looking for a big move. We had the same smoke around us last year before we got CJ.

I think we end up with OG somehow, he’s the hottest name on the market.

Am I wrong for not wanting to move all of our chips into the middle? Trey, Dyson, Naji, Jose, and Herb need more time to develop. If we are talking about moving Jax and Devonte so be it, but moving those other guys for what basically makes us a tax team sounds risky to me.

But you were complaining about the accuracy of their report, so just wanted to be clear that he was not nonguaranteed his last year.

Would make more sense than acquiring him for ourselves.

If the reported acquisition price is accurate, I hope not.

We could move Graham and Jax and have enough room under the tax line to being in OG and another guy like Vanderbilt.

If we’re looking to get Collins to flip, it would more than likely be to Utah IMO.

Or it could be for a combination of players like Beasley and Vanderbilt coming to us, with Graham and Jax going to a 4th team for players Atlanta could use.

Combining those 2 together can net us a player or combination of players around $21.7 million and still keep us right outside of the tax line.

Would costs us a lot of 1sts to bring in both OG and Vanderbilt.

It really depends on what teams you can get involved and what kind of players they have to give up. For instance player wise could work something like this (involves all rumored teams and players)
Jazz: Collins, Graham, Hayes
Raps: Beasley
Clips: Conley
Hawks: Covington, Kennard or Jackson (depends on if they would prefer long term contract or expiring)

If we could facilitate a trade like that, then it shouldn't cost more than the 1sts that we would need to send for OG anyway.

Atlanta would likely be happy with the return they get on those players, Clips want Conley so they would be happy, Utah wants Collins and them taking Graham is just the cost of Pels facilitating the deal.

There’s alot of different angles that can be worked without giving up a bunch of picks, nobody though Clips could get Powell last year with the poo poo platter they sent out.

What are the Pels bringing to that party? Why couldn’t the Hawks, Clippers and Jazz make that a 3 way deal?

Covington/ Kennard for Collins for Conley works salary wise.

We would obviously have to give up picks, probably 1 to Atlanta and 2 to Toronto, or maybe have to send out Herb along with 2 1sts.

There’s a bunch of different possibilities, as i said.

Looks like the Pistons traded BB to Portland for Josh and a protected first.
