If we got a guarantee that he’d sign long term Bertans is a perfect fit

My boss just told me he heard on the radio that the Pelicans are trying to trade for Al Horford because of all the trouble he is having in Philly
Embiid doesn't like him cause he makes too many friends. Simmons thinks he is soft.

something is definitely going on in Philly.
I have no idea why they thought Horford would work next to Embiid. It made no sense when they signed him. You have a PG who can cover the opposing teams PF, and a SF that can cover the opposing teams PF too, and both are capable of covering SF and most SG's.
Why wouldn't you want to put 3 point shooters that can defend the perimeter alongside your core of Embiid/Simmons/Tobias? Why the hell would you go get another near 7 footer to play with them? All three can handle most big men in the league.
Philly could feel desperate to make a trade, and if you can get great value for a good player like Horford, then go do it.

I'm not getting my hopes up. Horford is 33 yr on a large 4-yr deal. not even sure if I want to take that on

If the phone call happened I don’t see why philly wouldn’t do that deal. Get out of that contract ASAP. Unless there’s other teams with better offers
