Great player, but he needs to start and that pushes Ingram to the bench.

Probably better to target Rudy Gay who could come off the bench

I don’t think Tobias Harris would consider us despite Josh Hart’s recruiting efforts.

He’d be great strictly from a fit perspective though.

Too expensive for a guy that will hamper Ingrams development.
Maybe a Terrence Ross instead

Philly mainly used him at the 4 (86%, with 2% at the 3 and 11% at the 5)

Would the idea be to run a bunch of small ball lineups with Zion at center?

The big question is, can Zion rotate to defend the 5?

If so then we could run Ingram, Harris and Zion in the frontcourt

Considering Draymond defends the 5 a lot it's not out of the question

Zion has the bulk not to get pushed around at the 5 but I question whether he has the length.

He's not signing with us and we are not big game hunting this summer. Griffin has already said as much.

Go listen to his initial press conference and the one after winning the lottery. He has harped on building organically and slowly. He also talked about signing culture-driver veterans due to the youth of the team. Top tier free agents aren't referred to as culture-drivers. I would not expect a big signing.

Draymond is a vet and the level of intelligence he displays on the defensive end can not be expected out of a rookie. Hopefully down the line Zion could become a Draymond like defender at the 5. GSW rarely ran their death lineup during the season and usually only deployment it when needed.

I don't know if you want Zion banging with 5's nightly for 20+ combuned minutes a game. The West has a lot of bug boys beat you up in Jokic, Adams, Robert, Nurkic, AD(a different kind of matching but still a load), Valanciunas, and Aldridge. Maybe 10 mins per night at the 5 is all you should play Zion.

I agree you don't necessarily want Zion banging down low all game, but don't forget out of all the big boys, Zion is the biggest.

You can throw him an offer but Philly has to resign him.

We should be taking on bad contracts to get more assets to build the war chest for when we are ready to compete 3 years from now. The opposite of the Demps way....
