I think some of you are not realistic
when it comes to this roster and the rest of the NBA.

Would moving into the front office be considered a promotion in Willie Greens eyes?
Not sure about that, but coaching is a high stress job. Willie values family so he may consider it a promotion especially since he would likely have more home/family time.
He wouldn’t get another head coaching job at least not for a year or two, so why wouldn’t he?

Willie is simply an awful coach
Awful? No
Stubborn? Definitely
He talks alot about having to adapt rotations to the flow of the game, but never seems to do it. If Willie could get out of his own head and realize sometimes you don’t have to have a defensive guy on the floor and it’s ok to go out there and just flat out outscore the other team while having a 150-140 victory, then we would be talking about him in a far different light.
Take last night for instance, thats a game Naji shouldn’t play and we should just have a goal of going toe to toe and outscoring Indiana while running as fast as possible the entire game. That should have been a Matt, Hawk, CJ, Trey 3 ball fest with Zion and Ingram having one job and that’s dishing out assists left and right to the open shooters. Instead Naji plays 30 minutes doesn’t take a shot and we lose by 9.
A big part of coaching in the NBA is being flexible and adapting to every matchup, and that’s the only part Willie fails at, but it’s also the easiest part to fix in a coach.

Willie Green is technically not under contract as soon as the last game is played for the Pels this year.
They can simply just not give him a new contract. Therefore, he wasn't fired.

Imagine what a coach like rick carlisle could do with our roster.

If the Pels would have hired Borrego directly after his hornets stint this board would have rioted .
Now all of the sudden he is the answer ?
It’s like the backup qb …always the fan favorite and most popular guy on the roster .

I’m not advocating specifically for JB, like I said in the post we need an offensive minded HC LIKE JB. Someone in the run and gun shoot 40 3’s a game and place an emphasis on offense over defense no matter what mindset. There’s not many of those guys available out there, JB is one off the top of my head though.
Some people really need to learn how to read the entire post and not just pick what you want out of it to try to start an argument

You can’t ignore defense, though. It
kind of matters.

In the playoffs yea it does.
Regular season not so much, and the roster we have is more suited to offense than defense, however we do have the ability to play defense when needed.
Also, having Herb on this team means you’re still having an emphasis on defense, but leaning into having more gunners coming off the bench is what we should be doing, not trying to play defense with Naji.

Sometimes the backup is the answer. No one would have rioted. There are many people that think he shouldn’t have been fired. Look what the hornets have become without him. Your constant defense of not changing coaches is this fans are irrational take. There is nothing irrational about fans thinking Willie has been made some ridiculous coaching blunders. Zach Lowe himself questioned our rotations at halftime. You need to really get off this platform that pels fans are irrational in regards to Willie’s coaching.
