Hornets get:
Deng
Noah

Nuggets get:
West
Thorton

Bulls get:
Carmelo
Okafor

I think it is fair.

I doubt the Bulls can afford Melo and Okafor.

I'm not so sure we'd get better giving up West, Thornton, and Okafor for Deng and Noah.

I think that makes the Hornets considerably worse.

Yeah, you're exchanging bad contracts and dealing MT5/West for Noah. If we had a good PF behind West I might be on board.

If you could play Ariza and Deng together it would create a great team that could run and defend. You would obviously have the huge hole at PF though. It would also make the team younger basically across the board.

The only reason to do it is if we thought Noah will become drastically better than Okafor. The organization I think believes Okafor will turn it around this year.

I say no.

I think the Bulls would be getting screwed the most in the trade though.

They do. I'm optimistic we'll see a better year from him. Not a star, but I think he'll give more aggressive and consistent play.

I will be honest and say I would rather trade MT5/Ariza/West for Melo/role player than do this trade.

Bad Deal for Hornets. We end up lacking at SG and PF from this deal and we don't have good alternatives as backups. Gotta get a 3rd player from somewhere who will be a starter for this to be a solid deal for us.
