Man, has to be one of the most frustrating Pels teams ever. At least the Monty teams tried. Every single game its the same story. Pathetic first quarter to be down big early. Slowly close the gap over the 2nd and 3rd quarters. And then totally collapse in the 4th.

Something HAS to change.

Revisionist history.

Al is a better head coach than Monty

Don’t watch

I am frustrated; however, they aren’t winning without some depth.

AD, Randle, and Holiday are going to have to dominate if Moore, Mirotic, and Payton aren’t contributing.

The Celtics are stupid deep.

He's still watching and supporting the team, despite being deeply frustrated. To the point of talking about the team on a frigging LSU message board.

Get over it, he can express his feelings. The product right now is poor. No one can say with a straight face that they enjoyed watching the product on the court tonight. Now, IMO It's due to a litany of factors and not one or two simple causations(injuries, roster imbalance, early game preparation issues, player enthusiasm and synergy amongst others) but the result has been a frustrating mess to watch since the hot start. It's hard to argue otherwise.

I got bored a few weeks ago. I'll probably do my usual and start watching again around all-star break.

They kinda suck

They should blow it up. This team ain't doing anything

Did the Jarrett Jack lead team full of scrubs fighting to stay on rosters bring effort nightly until the other teams decided to show up and play in the 4th quarter? Sure. But the PTAO team in Monty's last year was just as frustrating as this team. PTAO isn't a term of endearment, it is borne out of maddening inconsistency.

We're essentially the same team we were after 29 games last season. 1 game worse in the W-L column, better in the net rating column.

And a rim protector when AD sits.

Problem is I'm not sure out of those 3 they can fix with the assets they have.

The Pelicans have been unwatchable since their rebrand with the exception of late last season. Terrible basketball.

Agreed. But it’s terrible due to effort, iq, and execution. I also think we have a coach who doesn’t discipline his players. I don’t how else to explain it. Monty’s teams fought, the coach had that bull dog mentality. These pels teams relax, the coach is uncle al. Go figure.

The only thing wrong with this team is that it lacks a playmaker with the absence of Elfrid. AD and Jrue are great, but they aren't playmakers. When you try to force Jrue at that role, we see the bad Jrue as opposed to the good Jrue. Tim Frazier is the closest thing to a playmaker on this entire roster. This is on the GM and coaches as much as the players. When Elfrid gets back, the Pels would look like a playoff team again.
