Definitely a head scratcher. Perfect time to hire a new coach. Young core roster, new front office, now u waste a year and potentially hurt feelings when you fire the coach theyve grown attached to after their first year with the team.

Wasnt Frank Vogel fired twice recently. Now 16-2. Crazy what talent will do. Gentry probably wont be here past this year and no one ever claimed hes a great NBA coach. This whole finger pointing at him is comical though.

I wanted him gone years ago, shoulda been gone years ago or never hired really. But it was the right move by Griffin. We won’t be in the playoffs this year, will have a chance to win a lotto pick again ( you never know now with these odds).
And hopefully Zion shows out the 2nd half of the season so a really good coach will have interest in coaching this roster.
