Holiday and Davis have been the lone bright spots on the team thus far. Embrace your new PG, he deserves it.
Gordon has been better than Holiday.

Game 1, yes. He was pretty bad last night. His play is encouraging, though. Hope he keeps building on it.

And Holiday wasn't?
.368% field goal
5 assists
4 turnovers

i want to. i'm tempted to say fire up the tank but we could have one of the worst records and somehow end up with the 6th pick which we'd have to give up.

Other than Tyreke and Stiemsma I'm good with how the roster has performed. I really do think it's on Monty to make more out of the talent he has. Sure Ryno is gone, but there is still enough penetration and shooting to make it work. Certainly enough to stay in games rather than looking lost.

Shooting was really the worst part of last night.

He locked down Jameer Nelson.
Aaron Afflalo went in without lube on Gordon.

That's kind of important, though.

Amazingly bad. I can't believe that no one else better was available for the same money.
Hopefully, Tyreke finds his groove.

I stopped watching at the half, but I don't recall a ton of wide open shots being missed. If they're packing the paint then someone has to be open on the perimeter, and Gordon/Holiday/Roberts/Morrow are all good spot up shooters.

if the Pels lose tonight, I can't wait to see this board

Statistically it's pretty tight. Gordon has a better PER.

I did not see ANY double screens, hi-low options, off ball picks, anything last night, which really pissed me off. Run a horns offense with smith and ad near the arc.
It seemed like every play was a dump off to someone while everyone stood around and watched. The magic knew what we were doing all game. Monty is a one trick pony.

Considering I was arguing with the idiots on this board last season (good chance it was you) that Afflalo was a good player, I agree. Doesn't change the fact that he abused Gordon and pretty much beat us by himself.
