Time to get creative. This is a thread wherein you come up with your best, REALISTIC trade with Jrue Holiday involved in it.

The one other caveat though: You cannot have the Brooklyn Nets or Golden State Warriors involved in the trade.

And it has to be realistic, ie a chance that both teams would do it.

So have fun, lets see em!

Jrue to Pacers for Brogdon and Turner
Jrue joins his brothers, Pels get a ball handler and the ideal big back. Would throw in our 2nd rounders also.

Jrue and JJ to Philly for Richardson, Scott, Smith, Thybulle (Scott cut, just needed for salary)
Philly gets the pieces they need to go with Simmons and Embiid, while taking pressure off the both of them.

Jrue and #13 to ATL for Collins, Huerter, Hunter
Atlanta gets a win now piece next to Trae, and the defensive force they need to cover his deficiency on that end.

3 team trade:
Jazz: Jrue
Clips: Conley and Utah 1st
Pels: Pat Beverly, Shamet, S&T of Harrel 3/36, 2024 Utah 1st, 2026 Utah 1st (lottery protected, turns into 2-2nds).

Jazz get Jrue to pair with Mitchell (would be a scary combo). Clips get Conley who fits their style and a 1st to build this season. Pels get a backup to Zion who effectively plays the 5, a "dog" in Beverley, a shooter in Shamit, and some far out 1st rounders

TYFYS, above and beyond. I should have put Philly in the prohibition because that's a popular one too but good enough.

Not sure how to feel about this one. I want to say it isn't enough value but I think others would disagree.

This one is all about how you feel about Richardson. I personally think if Philly makes any trades, they are going to demand that one of their albatross contracts go somewhere.

I sort of like this one, but I like Collins. I wonder about the fit next to Zion but I think it could work for sure.

Defense would be a real big issue with that lineup.

I personally love the Brogdon/Turner swap. Brogdon would replace Ball (im trading him no matter what this offseason, hopefully for #8). Turner would replace Favors and be far better. Plus add in the fact they are both young, they will be here well into BI and Zion's prime. BI, Zion, Brogdon, Turner is the makings of a championship core, just missing a dog.

As far as Richardson, he would be a perfect Jrue replacement. He doesn't need the ball to be effective on offense which keeps it more in Zion and BI's hands, and he's a monster on defense.

S&T would need to be a complete separate transaction that can work on its own.

Turner's value tanked when he was a huge liability in the playoffs.

What if I included JJ in a trade with the Nets, but sent Jrue elsewhere?

I know some teams/fans are, but I'm not really putting a whole lot of stock into the bubble. Taking players out of their element and pretty much putting them in isolation can mess with heads.

Ahhh shite, forget that S&T can't be included in 3 teams

Nope!

Neither team can be involved in this one in any way.

As much as I would love that trade, Indiana says no.

No way they give up both Turner and Brogdon for a 30 year old guard on the last year of his contract that isn’t a natural fit on their roster.

Frankly, I think they say no the moment you say you want Brogdon for Jrue.

He shot 40% from 3, doesn't really need the ball in his hands, is a good screener, and a pretty good defender. He would get outmatched by some 5's like Jokic due to size, but he would be a good defender against guys like AD.

Hunter would immediately be our starting 3, with Ingram moving to the 2.

I think it would really depend on what they are planning to do with Oladipo, and who they hire as HC.

If they want to keep Dipo, then they take a risk and get Jrue to pair with him as a win now type of move. I would do it for Turner and picks, but they don't have their 1st this year.

Not to mention, I love Brogdon and wanted to sign him last year.

We can probably cross out at least 1/3 of the league when considering a Jrue deal. There's just no way we'd disrespect Jrue by sending him to a bad team. That limits things a little bit.

MPJ and Herro have both played themselves out of any Jrue deal, and i'm not interested any deal built around Gary Harris or Kendrick Nunn.

The Easiest one is the Jrue for Myles Turner swap. Listened to a Pacers pod and they were all in on that deal. Jrue wasn't on the table at the time, but we called Indy about Turner before the Favors deal, so we know the FO likes him.

There's Jrue for Mccollum. Portland gets more defense next to Dame and we get a more consistent scoring punch at SG.

I guess this one isn't actually realistic because LA wouldn't have the balls to do it, but Jrue for Paul George. I always thought PG and Kawhi were so similar in styles that the actually fit wouldn't be great. Too much taking turns between the two, because they basically do the same stuff on the court.

I bet they would be. Would be a horrendous deal for us.

3 Team Trade:
Pacers get: Jrue and Lakers 2021 Pick
Knicks get: Lonzo

Jrue to Heat:
Heat get: Jrue, JJ, 2020 Bucks 2nd Round pick, and 2021 Lakers pick
Pelicans get: Bam, Herro, and Robinson

Problem is, Indy would probably hang up on a Brogdon/Jrue swap. Thats before we even get to adding Turner.

Brogdon's pretty much an ideal 2020 PG. He's big, defends, and is basically 50/40/90. We aren't getting him for Jrue.

That's fine and all, but Turner for Jrue in a straight up swap doesn't work.

We could get far, far more value elsewhere.
