All this other noise is ridiculous & short sighted.

Jones, Murphy, Hayes, Ingram and Zion will be improved players.

Zion was historically great a season ago.

Ingram made the leap.

Why frick with something that is coming together so perfectly?

I agree. I feel like we fixed our needs with drafting two defensive players. Zion looks finally to be back in shape. CJ will gel more into the team with the off season. We don’t got to wonder if Kira Lewis is a NBA player due to the improvement of GTA and drafting of Daniels. Murphy grew 2 inches and matured a lot.

Liddell is what we need from what Hayes has been missing which is rebounds and defensive impact.

I agree. We have a good thing going. The city loves the current squad and The team seems to love the city back. We caught a glimpse pushing the #1 seed to the brink w/o our generational talent. We hit a HR with Herb (2rd pick starter day 1 as a rookie is unheard of even on a bad team) and seemed to hit with Trey as well.

We probably need another piece but not a major one just more of a complimentary one. What we have here seems sustainable similar to what the Spurs did with Duncan, Mano, Parker.

ETA that the complimentary piece may very well eventually be Daniels. I understand now why they coveted him so much.

I also think Hayes running with the bench unit and against other bench units will be much more effective than we he had to start all last season.

Who knows how good Dyson can be. If he has a similar trajectory to Herb or Trey and he's a facilitator by nature with an inconsistent 3pt shot, imagine getting another Ball brother who isn't Lonzo or LiAngelo?

I have heard of the LeBron at center for the warriors is better than Looney at center theory.

But, doofus, the Ewing theory does not apply to Zion.

LINK

From the article:

"When given the start at center, James recorded an average of 35 points, 9.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game."

"Additionally, LeBron averaged 36.5 minutes per game in the span of time. With an incredibly high usage rate"

Yeah, there is no chance James might be an upgrade over Looney. Keep banging the drum on that off hand comment from 6 months ago though. You will always keep going back to that well.

Ewing Theory' is applicable to a player if: "A star athlete receives an inordinate amount of media attention and fan interest, and yet his teams never win anything substantial with him

That is straight up the definition as written. Didn't we go further last year without him?

NO

Zion Win % as a pro: 47%

21-22 Pels Win %: 43.9%

Furthermore, to apply the Ewing Theory to a player, any player, that has only played around a seasons worth of games is rather absurd.

Ewing theory being used in this situation is absurd.

It’s not like the team was static between 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. We traded for a top 50 nba player in CJ, drafted an all-defensive player in Herb, upgraded bigly at center with JV, and got a coach that wasn’t despised by his players.

“Calling it now, LeBron to the warriors at center”

You made a prediction not an off hand comment.
After the title and looney’s superb performance, one would think you’d finally learn how little you understand, or more accurately what a dumbass you are.

It doesn’t apply, as we significantly improved the roster during the season and the young players were being developed.

Zions been Universally acknowledged as historically great as a pro basketball player at his age, when he plays.

ETA: thanks for the gold, Jerry, gold!

1. Herb, Trey, Jose, and Hayes will be improved

2. Zion back healthy

3. Full offseason for a healthy CJ and Nance

4. BI continuing to take steps forward

5. The addition of Daniels

We are in very good shape to be a serious threat next year.

Agreed. Gutting our team for KD doesn't guarantee a title, and if anything goes wrong this year he'll be requesting a trade by the ASB.

The Ewing Theory is bullshite anyways, in regards to Patrick Ewing, whose prime in New York was never accompanied by an All NBA level player. Starks was short on talent, Mason couldn’t shoot. They traded good point guards like Rod Strickland and Mark Jackson.

Derek Harper was okay.

By the time they actually acquired all star level talent like Camby Spreewell and Houston, Ewing was washed.
