Trouble is, the 7th, 8th and 9th were all 7-3 for the last ten.
Pels 6-4.
Memphis just added josh jackson. (Not jaren jr.)
Portland nurkic suffered calf strain in first practice back jan 31!! Collins not back on court until mid march.

I just can't see this team making the playoffs. I think we have the talent but just too damn inconstant. Also factor in the lack of discipline on turnovers and free throws. Those are the things that will kill you in close games

why sign a guy who cant make fts. Plenty can.
If hes wilt or shaq you think you can live with it but many a game went celtics way because wilt was such a turrble ft shooter.

Surprising numbers for Ingram.

pels could use a pistons win @ memphis tonight. so i go and take a gander at the box score and see that the pistons messed around and scored a grand total of 10......yes 10.....points in the entire 3rd quarter. amazing

From Shamit on what the Pels would need to do the rest of the way in theory to hit 41 wins:
Not a totally crazy ask. But you have to beat the teams you're supposed to beat.

Pelicans need to win 18/23 against the remaining below .500 teams and 3/10 of the above .500 teams in order to get to 41 wins on the season.
Tall task, but they haven't fallen off track yet.

If we Milwaukee I say let’s ride to the playoffs. Trade Miller and a pick and try to get a contributing player. If we lose, trade Jrue and build for next year.

That’s the last game before the trade deadline. You have to decide whether to buy or sell.

apparently suns trying to acquire kennard

Clippers trying hard to keep the Spurs in this game right now. 4 point game with 6 min left to go in the 3rd

And they play @ Lakers tomorrow so hopefully they lose again

What's more surprising is jaxson hayes. Earlier this season, when we really really sucked, he was our only positive on/off player. Now he's worst on the team since we've gotten "good"

This hasn't been an issue with this team since the last warriors game. Still in great shape to do our part, it just sucks that we still have to rely on other teams (Portland mainly...) to drop a few, especially against teams they should beat.

problem with that is when we say under .500, that means the Grizzlies, Spurs, Blazers, and i think we play them all 2 times each. I would'nt consider them a traditional below .500 team.
I laid it out in the other tread, 12 games against shitty opponents, 10 games against those mid level teams like ourselves, and 10 games against teams with a 30-20 or better record.
I think what's important is not losing to the shitty teams. We have to win at least 10 of those, if not all if we want to make the playoffs. Then you need to win at least 6 of the 10 middle of the road teams, and it would be extremely helpful if those wins came against the Blazers/Grizzlies/Spurs. If we won 4 of the 10 against the good teams, that would be great. 21 victories gets us to .500, which would be a great feat and positive ending to the season heading into next year considering we played at a projected 50+ win team for the last 2/3's of the season.
