Like I get it, Shamit is a very good basketball nerd who likes the Pels, but he is no more plugged into the inner workings of the franchise than anyone on this board.

The best part is how he stresses how this isn't about the money and that he hates paywalls, but then chases that with "but it would be fiscally irresponsible to not do this"

I personally think this brings your credentials down a bit if you are seriously trying to pursue sports journalism as a career. Your whole goal is trying to spread awareness and information about a certain team to their fans. Now you’re monetizing the information you do get and creating a club where someone who can afford to waste $50- to talk about the pelicans.
And advertising having 1 on 1 time with himself is literally pimping yourself out and going the way of onlyfans. I expected more out of Shamit and its kind of disappointing he went this route. If anything I respect this free public board here even more.
