The NBA gods have been incredibly cruel to us this season

this is how their script has played out this year:
Beginning of the season (rising action):
-come into season with a ton of momentum
-willie green looks like a great young coach leading the charge
-young superstar core with vet leadership ready to make the leap
Mid-early season mark (climax):
-lakers are horrible
-destroy the suns at home; twice
-team is in 1st place in the west stacking big wins vs other contenders
-team is arguably on the rise and looking to contend for a chip
Mid season mark (falling action):
-BI jams his toe against a grizzlies player
-zion trying to keep the team afloat pulls his hamstring \
-CJ messes up thumb
-BI misses way more games than anticipated
-zion has a set back
-cj can't shoot with thumb injury
-team attempts to stay afloat but role players regress to the mean
-lakers are literally gifted competent players to upgrade their trash roster for one 1st and a russell westbrook
approaching end of season mark (resolution):
-team doesn't look like they enjoy playing anymore
-losses are stacking up
-BI & CJ are failing to carry this team to wins
-jonas is old and slow
-team that previously had depth is now looking like a below average roster
-lakers are winning games and AD is carrying them with lebron out
-lakers pass pelicans and pelicans now are closer to a lottery team than playoff team
-question marks about willie's rotations and offensive philosophy
and the cherry on top:
-zion has significant setback, most likely won't play again this year
what a cruel roller-coaster pels fans have been put on this season. it's almost funny when you lay it out and play it back.

This season?
Try this entire franchise's existence. We were doomed the second the NBA awarded the Hornets to us and we got the one fricking owner in the entire league that was using his franchise as his main source of income.

Just I’ve the team to Vegas already so we can get a Lakers G league team for the Westbank fans.

It’s funny that the amount of times you post is directly related to how triggered you are.

I can hardly imagine it going any worse

Pelicans had this season to win the city and they fumbled the bag like they normally do.
Nobody will give a shite about this team anymore.

You forgot the part about the Kings taking our place as the team on the rise. That might hurt the most.

Players were sitting out preseason games resting from getting dinged up.
