I absolutely want him drafting. Coaching hire? Not so much.

Most of the drafting is mainly from the GM I think. So we can definitely still draft well and get rid of Griffen. TBH that’s the only time I really see Graham/Langdon talk haha. Especially the way how Graham talks about Missi, Herb and other guys we drafted. I’m pretty sure it’s him. Willie even said that it was Graham who found Boston.

We've been through two young, inexperienced GMs and the drafting has remained impressive. I'm not taking anything away from the work of Trajan or Graham, but drafting is one thing that Griffin deserves a lot of credit for.

But the thing is I think drafting is mostly from the GM and not Griffin. I rather have Langdon as VP and Graham as GM. He’s doing really well in Detroit.

I think you want to believe that, but deep down realize that Griffin is the common factor in our drafting well.

To be fair, the Thunder had the same amount of time and have just one series win over the Pelicans in that same span

Well that's certainly one way to look at it.

Is it bottom 3 or bottom 4 with best lottery odds?

I thought it was bottom 3.

Bottom 3 have a 14% chance and it starts to drop off after that. 4th worst record has a 12.5% chance.

He’s had some major screw ups in the drafting department also.

Passing on Garland or Hunter to trade down for Jax Hayes is pretty bad. Don’t think any competent gm would ever do that. And the Kira pick was so bad considering the players taken before and the rumor that he was going to trade Haliburton if he slipped to us.

Thx for the replies, but again I got 2 different answers. One person says it changed to bottom 4, the other person said it’s bottom 3.

Oh well at this rate we gonna win enough games, it won’t matter.

I think it's pretty likely we aren't going to be in the top 5, probably fall 6-8. We are getting some better health and this group is clicking a little bit. We'll probably play close to .500 ball through the remainder and wind up in the 25-30 win range.

That is still really bad and we should totally rebuild at that point. What is going to be interesting is what we do with Zion. So many people say, we can't trade him now, his value is too low. Well he's playing great now. He's in better shape. He should finish the season strong. If he does, there could be a good market for him. Wouldn't that be the time to move him?

That is worst case scenario, which likely means it's exactly what happens. If we end up drafting 6-8, this franchise will always be a garbage tier team.

Us working him through all the issues for another organization to benefit doesn’t seem like a smart plan. I guess it depends on the offers but salary filler and multiple firsts doesn’t sound exciting to me.

In my opinion you absolutely entertain any and all offers, because as talented as he is, you simply can’t rely on his availability. But at the same time it can’t be 50 cents on the dollar, it has to be a quality deal.
