All all these games going against us today? Is this Karma for losing to the Kings?

after today's win for the grizz, i think 1 more memphis win pretty much KO's us...if we weren't already KO'd

also, to the surprise of absolutely no one, the kings have started today's game against the g-league nets a solid 12/33 (36%) from the field and 3/12 from 3

I find it unlikely Memphis will lose their last three. Thunder had limited reasons to win.

We need to win rest of games, Memphis has to lose all games plus other teams need to lose once . Not happening. I am not sure Pels will win 2 more games this year.

We need Memphis to go 0-3 and we need to go 3-0 to make the play-in game. Everything else will shake out. Essentially means we need to win the next 5 games to make the playoffs...

Problem is Memphis will win at least one I’m sure.

Tomorrow’s lineup:

Clippers-Blazers

Suns-Heat

can’t imagine Suns going undefeated in bubble so don’t have to worry about them. We need Blazers to go on a losing streak unless Memphis is going to go winless in their last 3.

Yeah, our current odds in the 538 projection are at 10%, which seems about right. We need to win out (which seems unlikely) and get a lot of help (which seems even less likely).

I just can’t see the opponents on the schedule for Memphis or Portland caring enough down the stretch to make Memphis go 0-3 and Portland go 1-3.

The Blazers really have to lose today to the Clippers for us to even have a glimmer of hope.

This may have been mentioned, but what happens if we go 3-0 and Portland goes 2-2? We pick up 1.5 games on them. Does this create a tie? Do we go by win percentage? Tiebreaker?

Win percentage, which gives POR the tiebreaker over us.

So there’s only 1 scenario where we get the 8 seed:

Pels 3-0
Grizzlies 0-3
Blazers 1-3 or 0-4
Suns 3-1 or worse

Correct. And we also need the Suns to lose once.

To get the #9 seed, we need the above scenario to play out for either the Blazers OR the Grizzlies, or we could go 2-1 and have the Grizzlies go 0-4, but that also brings other teams back into the equation.
