So can we trade Brown tomorrow?

Hoping we can save some face and snipe a young player not getting playing time off a contender.
I know the Nuggets want him back since he was instrumental to their run.

Nuggets would luv to have him back for the rest of this season. They need serious help on D. Just not sure what they can offer us in return.

The deal is not official and doesn't need to be until right before the deadline so we can still move him and Olynyk to other teams but time is running out

It's hard to find a landing spot for Brown on a contender with his 23 million in salary.

Can we agree to a trade with a team for a buyout?
Like take a min salary and several 2nds from DEN in agreement to buyout Brown? Obviously assuming Brown/ Den agree to contract?

Don’t think you can do that with the cap rules.

How would it mess with cap rules? It would be (2) completely separate moves. We would straight up get the min player and 2nds. Buy out Brown separately and then he signs with DEN separately.
It would just be a verbal agreement but 2 separate deals.
