Imagine bringing in scoot to visit him in the last hours leading up to the draft just to offer Portland the 14 pick and assets

And tbh...I'd luv to trade BI for Scoot (& I hate small PGs that can't shoot)...but the "out on a limb" part is...I would EVEN trade BI for Brandon Miller. I'm, obviously, a desperate man...with a desperate plan !!

Nah it was scoot or nothing. I just worry about trading these two next season after a lukewarm year again and getting picks and/or players in return that are no where near scoots potential and character. I think that’s a fair thing to worry about even if you worried about scoots shot or love Zion and bi

Bottom line for Portland...either Lillard or Scoot MUST hit the road. Decent argument for it being either one that packs his bags. Hopefully, we aren't out of the "Scoot business" just yet.

I didn't say he was offered. I just said it was interesting. You dont think he talked to Dame at all while he was in Portland? You don't think it's possible he was trying to force his way out? Just because the team didn't bite doesnt meant its not possible he went to Portland, liked it, and got talked into trying to get there by Dame.
