If you look back at my posts, I'm not banging some "lonzo is the future" drum and I'm not hiding from his flaws either

I’m pro Lonzo, but he should be shooting about half that.

Right now in FGA, the top 8 is:
Ingram 17.8
Zion 15.6
Zo 12.1
Bledsoe 9.7
NAW 7.7
Redick 7.0
Adams 6.7
Hart 6.3

Zo needs to be somewhere around 8. Bledsoe needs to go up to 12. Depending on the day, figure it out with NAW/Redick/Hart

Lonzo for Derrick Rose and a couple of second rounders. Who says no?

you already have a derrick rose-lite in bledsoe.

This is where you need a CP3, Kyle Lowry, Mike Conley, or Goran Dragic type of PG.

A veteran leader who can run the point/half court, takes smart shots, and doesn't need to be VERY ball dominant in taking shots.

Consistency, that's lonzo's issue.

One game he'll put up 12/6/6 and have a good shooting %, a couple of turnovers, solid defense.

The following game, he'll go 6/4/4, poor shooting %, and turnovers.

To me, you cannot have that much flux for a PG. You need to be consistent. If you're not shooting well, you gotta protect the ball at the least.

I can live with Ingram and Zion combining for 6-7 turnovers a game, nature of it. I cannot live with Zo having 4 by himself while having a 1:1 or sub ast:to ratio

I agree with all of this. He’s way too up and down and it sucks.

This is my problem. He’s so limited and streaky. And then calls his own damn number frequently when he’s cold. And then isn’t even playing well in transition because he’s giving the ball away constantly.

I don't understand why London was not traded during the Draft. Hell a Ham Sandwich would have been more beneficial to the Pelicans this season than London has so far!!

Sam and Brian both said they wouldn't pay Ball what he wants, but they also wouldn't pay him what he's worth, because he won't be happy getting paid what he's worth.

I think that perfectly distills the issue with us and Lonzo.

It’s an unsolvable situation.

Lonzo is currently not the player he thinks he is or wants to get paid like, and paying him or playing him anything less will create issues.

He’s gonna need to go somewhere and be humbled or we are going to be putting ourselves into another Evans/Asik/Solo situation and paying a guy based on what we hope he will do in the future and not what he has actually proven he can sustainably do.

Fans should deal in hope

You'd hope the front office would have some better metrics that deal in actual realities

Ball doesn't have that dog in him.

He is a pretty boy.

They should've traded him last year
