Well, Wade, Kobe, and Harden are still in the NBA. So you can throw out top 3 regardless.

Is this guy a lurker on here or something?

I'm not sure if the pepperoni needs to be included for most.

I would do a deal with Barnes and Gordon as the centerpieces. Obviously, I'd want a little more out of GSW.

I think he's a combination of Rudy Gay and Granger. Better athlete than Granger, but not as good as Rudy. Better shooter than Rudy, but not as good as Granger. Also, I think he's a better on-ball defender than both.

I'm prepared to be blasted.

by any means how is he is an allstar player that people keep saying he is?? whats the chances he'll keep even current stats up with his injuries?

between the last year he had with the clippers and his first with the hornets (65) he has averaged 20+pts on 45% shooting, ~3rebounds and ~4 assists with almost 3 turnovers. he shoots around 80% ft, <35% 3pt range.

In the last 3 years (including lockout year, 2 hornet seasons and 1 LAC season) he has played in only 84/202 or 41.6% of the games.

in his career he has played 224/366 games 61% of the games.

I'm happy with klay thompson and harrison barnes if we can get them for him

Barnes/Klay/Jefferson/whatever other salary dump

for AFA/EG/1 unprotected.

I think that makes sense for both teams. It gives us a legit 2 and 3, and a young team that can really grow.

Gravy/Rivers
Klay/Rivers (Mason?)
Barnes/FA
AD/Anderson
Lopez/Smiht

It gives them salary cap relief and a pick that will give them additional, cheap talent.

in 2014, we shed the salaries of Jefferson/Bedriens and can make a legit move for someone in 2014.

Too much uncertainty.

Im going to hold out hope that if we trade with GS, we can fleece them for both Barnes and Thompson. Give them the pick if need be.

Go into next season with a legit starting 5. Build the rest through FA.

I agree wholeheartedly with this approach. There isn't one guy in the draft that has overwelming talent above and beyond Barnes, much less a 3, our biggest need.

Because neither of those players is worth an unprotected first in a vacuum, nor as part of package with a turd sandwich.

adding Barnes and Klay for basically Gordon and a rookie that may or may not pan out...

The pieces of shite come off the books in 2014 when there is a legit FA class. You need to look at the long game and not just the individual pieces.

I already am. With your trade idea, we end up with possibly the worst rebounding team in the NBA. You end up with nobody to create outside of Vasquez.

Barnes is going to be a solid player in the league for a long time.

But the only way he puts up star numbers is on a bad team. He looks like another Deng.

Anyone get the feeling there may be a 3rd team involved?

I wouldn't be surprised. I can never guess these trades.
