The proposal was commissioned by LSED. They’re not going to hire architectural firms if they do not want for it to be renovated. It also needs to be approved my the NBA. That’s why Silver, Landry and Benson met together.

Landry wouldn’t met with Silver if he didn’t want the Pelicans to be here long term.

I don’t even know why i responded to your dumbass. Everyone knows you’re obviously a troll.

Where did I say that? I'm saying fans of almost all pro sports teams could look at the Suns prices and say they wished their team had those prices. The Pels prices are not in a unique situation.

Again needs approval. So far just talk. Who is coughing up the $400-$800 million in estimated cost of renovation? Gayle? That would be nice. Also worth noting this was done before the mayor decided to try and indict the State AG. Ask the governor how feels about the city now.

Also the the guy that leads all the renovations in the Dome/LSED abruptly resigned

Doug Thornton’s decision leaves ‘big shoes to fill’ in New Orleans sports scene

Gayle should pay all renovations herself. I would support that.

Not much has changed in 3 months don't you think? Maybe you will find some relief on the Saints board.

You seriously can’t be this dumb. Ofc the state is going to help renovate the arena also. Majority of arenas and stadiums are publicly funded. The super dome is 100% publicly funded btw.

The governor just help aid the New Orleans sewage and water infracture. To think he won’t help out Pelicans and Saints in the state is showing how dumb you really are. Especially when he desperately wants to bring NHL too

But he is helping New Orleans

Gov. Landry vetoes more than $33M in New Orleans funding

quote:

Gov. Jeff Landry vetoed more than $33 million in funding for New Orleans, striking key city priorities including $16 million for Armstrong Park redevelopment, $2 million for design of a new City Hall Civic Complex, $1 million for a new Behrman Stadium, over $9 million for housing, resilience and health care infrastructure projects, and $6 million in operational funding for homelessness provider costs, recreation, public safety and community organizations.

Which happens first? SKC renovations or Municipal Auditorium renovations? Yeah remember that? 20 years of just sitting there not repaired .

“As you have all seen, the City of New Orleans has been in a tough financial spot. The state has come in to help, but that must also come with fiscal restraint. My goal is to work with the City to prioritize spending on government services and to not be too hasty with new projects they may not be able to afford. I love New Orleans, and I appreciate that they are trying to chart a new course with new leadership. We want them to be successful because when New Orleans is successful, Louisiana is successful,” Landry said in a statement.

You said he hates New Orleans but admitted that when NOLA is successful, LA is successful. He even states that the arena deal will be done. Do any of these new projects create economic success ? Do you know where the money is coming from? It’s coming mostly from hotel and tourism taxes. Geez you’re dumb as frick.

Welcome Laker fans? Yeah let’s fill the arena with opposing team fans. That will make everyone happy. Saints can’t even win a game in the Dome now. Gail and the Politicos like money. You got that right. Let’s tax the hell out people.

The city can’t even pay its own bills. Some major corruption. Awesome.. At least this mayor does not take vacations each week.

New Orleans property owners could pay more under proposed 2027 tax increase

This governor spent $80 million dollars on a coach that can’t beat Kentucky in football.

I don’t even think you know what tourism and hospitality tax is. You included an article that has nothing to do with the arena. Did you even read the article? Do you know how much a superbowl brings? I tell you, it brought in 1.25 billion in economic activity.

But he had no influence . Wait a minute

What to know about Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry's intervention in LSU football

Isn't this why they want you out the SEC? Keep up your DENIAL!

quote:

Ed Orgeron, the former LSU football coach who led the team to a national title in 2019, said that it’s not unusual for a Louisiana governor to take an active interest in the university’s football program

He will fund LSU before he funds a basketball team that has not done jack.
