Here is the projected cap space after the AD trade. Everything looks pretty good, but I expect it will change again if we trade 4th pick

So I am not one that understands the salaries and cap space. Will we have to pay Soloman Hill and Stanley Johnson this coming year? Those look like two bad contracts to me. Also, in the end, how much money will we have to sign free agents? Thanks

so many people have no idea what that chart of salaries actually mean.
We are likely around $80-85M in salaries with a $109m cap.
Could easily get out Solo sent out with a 2nd or two, and Moore could get traded to a team looking for a shooter, both freeing up $21M more.

Yes to hill unless he's moved this week but he could be a good asset at the deadline

Johnson can be declined and it frees up that space

Ignoring solo/moore and declining Stanley plus all of the other FAs like Elfrid/Julius will put you roughly around 20-25 mil

Stanley has a team option, it will assuredly not be picked up

Hill is on the books, but look for him to be moved in a deal likely centered around the 4th pick

If we move Hill and dont take any money back, and move Moore without taking anything back (very easy to do), we could end up with 40 million or so in space

Or we could go after Russel or Brogdon in a S&T using Moore, and still have around 15 million in space to use on a Brook Lopez, Dedmon, Niko

There are so many possibilities, we will be absolutely LOADED with talent and in the playoffs if not this year, next year for sure

Thanks for the info guys. The best move this organization made was getting rid of Dell and bringing in this new front office (home run hires). I am still iffy on head coach but oh well. We need to target a serious shooter with these assets.

When your contract is expiring your cap hold is 150% of your actual salary.

My goodness, too bad I suck at basketball. Look at those salaries for players we view as average.
