Trust me when I say Tony Parker was a promising player in his rookie year. Parker's problem was his undeveloped jump shot and his defense. But here's the thing, he had amazing touch around the basket and had some craftiness back then.

Rivers certainly has more to fix than Parker did after their rookie years. I just hope we see massive improvements next season.

I mean Jester is in here trying to make the argument that Vasquez is comparable to Irving, and it is unthinkable that someone would take a guy that is in the top 5 in the league in scoring at 20 years old over someone who has so far put up nothing but very average PF numbers.

Irving is a top 5 PG in the entire league in his second season

All you do is parrot analysts. You have absolutely nothing to refute the cold, hard facts that I presented. Irving is not a top 5 PG. He is a good scorer and a big name. That's about it at this point.

Interesting to see who discounts this fan poll but just loved the ones that showed Pelicans was unpopular

Interesting that a passive aggressive blogger wouldn't come out and say that like a man.

Also, are you really dumb enough to think those 2 polls are similar? One asks if you like a name. The other asks uneducated fans to determine a player's value.

I vote Kyrie as well. He's proven he can score at will, and just needs to learn to run an offense, which will take some time.

Davis is just too weak right now (similar to Kevin Durant's rookie year). So not saying it can't be done.

i'm a huge Vasquez fan, but his assist numbers are inflated.

...anyone's assist numbers would go up significantly if playing with ryan anderson.

So why wasn't Jameer Nelson's numbers inflated?

i'm not really sure....different offensive styles?

...a guy that has made the most 3s in the league, and needs basically no room to get his shot off improves assist numbers for Vasquez. especially with the number of times they run the pick and pop together. one of the most used plays. don't know if it was the same with the magic.

Vasquez is a very good passer, don't get me wrong, but put Anderson on Nash's or CP3s team, and the assist numbers are going up....not meant to bash Vasquez. he is my favorite player. just an observation.

I think Davis will be the better player at the end of the day (vs. Irving). Irving's clearly better right now, but we haven't seen enough from Davis. I think a lot of GM's would be hesitant to just take Irving based on the small sample so far. Davis has looked promising, and another Tim Duncan/Garnett is more valuable than Irving.

Read realgm.com's forums. They are hardly uneducated. You are the one who comes off uneducated saying that.

Insulting people who don't insult you again? Tsk tsk.

And I know about polling and the meaning of passive aggressive.

Why you are so resistant to ideas that differ from your own, I don't know, but it really stifles things around here. Double standards are just so sad.
