Anyone who truly wants AD gone is smoking crack. Anyone realistically thinking he's gone is probably not far off.

It’s just inarguable about this guy, but this franchise has legit bad fans.

They don’t appreciate greatness.

I just really hope what AD sees from the normal New Orleans fans on social media and in person is much better than the stuff on here.

I think AD has made it clear that he likes New Orleans. I think CP3 liked New Orleans.

I think AD likes Gentry (he liked Monty too) and Dell Demps.

I think CP3 liked Byron Scott.

My point is that these players have filled or are fulfilling their contractual obligations to this franchise. If they leave, they're doing it to better their career. It's up to Dell Demps and Co. to make sure we get big great returns if AD wants to leave NOLA.

So, let's drop the I hate AD (not saying you have) or Demps and Gentry are worthless nonsense. Why? Because they led us as far as we've ever been last season. And, this season? We're headed in the same direction or maybe even better.

Let's get healthy with Payton returning by the end of the month, and let's see where we are at the all-star break. Then, we still have to let this season play out. Unlike last season to this point, we've beaten the best in the league already. This team can literally play with anyone right now. Frustratingly, we can also lose to nearly anyone. But, even then, I'd argue that we're doing that less than we have in years prior.

IF Anthony decide to tell the team he wants out, then Dell and Gentry need to go with him.

Jrue and Randle become the foundation of the team and then we have beaucoup money to trade for assets or lure a star into NOLA with a max deal over the coming seasons of mediocrity.

If AD says he wants to stay, but needs to be in the WCF in the next two seasons, then a blockbuster of a trade to bring in another superstar has to become the focus, even if that means parting with Jrue, Randle, Niko or all 3.

I would love to go to my grave knowing he played his whole career in NOLA, but realistically that is not going to happen unless the Pels are considered a top 3-5 team in the NBA over the next 2-3 seasons.

More like 6 to 12 months at the very latest

At full strength, this squad does have top 4 talent IMO

I want to agree with you, but we have yet to see this team at full strength. The early 4 game start was them still finding themselves. Then Payton went down and all hell broke loose.

We have to get healthy and go on a 6-10 win streak soon or our hope of a decent playoff seeding will be gone.

I highly doubt Randle is going to take a huge discount to pick up his player option if AD is gone.

We're not getting a legit star in free agency, especially if AD is gone. No reason to get your hopes up on that, doesn't matter how much money we have. That is just not happening.

That should be the goal whether AD says he wants to stay or not, getting better.

Agreed. Getting better is the goal.

With a Alpha Dog Superstar(again frick the haters) in place, this team needs depth, more important than ever in the NBA, especially the West.

Trading first round picks kills your depth, shitty season ticket sales tells ownership it’s not worth it to pay the tax.

Pels have to build cost effective depth. Demps is right to want to hold on to pick. At least that guy, presumably in the early 20s, could be 9-10 guy in the rotation for less money than veteran minimum caliber player.

Also, siginging a guy in the middle tier area that gives us something (Hill).

2 spots like that, with fully operational G League team to develop young prospects and MAYBE this team raises its ceiling.

But on topic, yeah Davis is more Duncan than he is CP3 ( as some poster compared the two in another thread)

After what he’s done, what more does he have to prove to this particulat sect of Pels fans who are low Basketball IQ fans that equate everything to football?

It’s 82 games plus the playoffs, This Leader of the Pelicans plays hurt and contributes anyway he can(like the Detroit game).

If he was soft and wanted out...he would sit out when 3 starter level players on a thin team are out vs the 1 seed in the West right now.

If you notice, the Anti-Davis crowd is real fricking quiet today. Shocker.

Superstar? definitely

Alpha dog? About 1/4 of the year

As has been said before, when AD plays with intensity, the entire team does and last night was proof of that. Miller was driving to the rim, that should be all the proof needed for anyone. He cannot sustain that level of intensity though, and when he looks like hes out there just going through the motion, we lose to the Celtics B team, even though yes AD puts up his 40.

Both game coming after injuring his hip.
18 points from the bench.
Leads league in minutes per game.
League leading 5th 40 pt game of season.
Leads league in PER
Most 40/15 games since entering the league, more than double the next guy(Boogie)
Team is a net negative with him off the court.

You have no leg to stand on.

If you can't tell the difference in the demeanor of the entire team when AD is just going through the motions vs. AD playing intense and actually being a leader, then no I guess in your eyes I don't.

This is confirmation bias at its finest IMO.
