They have a whole team to build still

And they paid very little while keeping that team intact for the most part.

There was talk earlier in the off-season that GS was possibly looking at sending #2 to Phoenix for Oubre and taking Oubre into their TPE.
So Oubre does have value.

probable lottery pick

Harden is getting traded.
At the moment all OKC is is SGA really. Adams yes and Dort o looks like a find.

Right, they have 1 player who is a potential all star, and they will still be bad. If Houston trades Harden, it's likely they will be bad, too. So they will have a ton of lottery picks in the next several years.

Unless Paul gets unlucky and suffers injuries, Phoenix is a playoff team. Paul to Ayton will bring back memories of the CCC. Phoenix has the perfect supporting cast to go with Booker and Paul.

I'm sure there would have been more to it, but just the rumors of it means that Oubre is not simply just a salary dump. He does have some value.

OKC is loaded with 1st rounders, but honestly none of them look very appealing besides maybe the Houston ones.

Clips picks could be interesting. Especially if the PG/Kawhi duo falls short again next season.

I didn't realize they got abused so badly in the Westbrook trade. That's another reason Houston has to not trade Harden.

Clips and Houston picks could be gold

So I read that Phoenix is better off not officially completing this deal for a few days for cap purposes.
I think Rubio and Oubre get re-directed elsewhere.

that's 17 selections.
Certainly some of them will pan out lol. The NBA changes swiftly.
Im sure they will trade a few too.

I’d say those Houston ones are very interesting. Because they could very well end up being top 10 picks consistent by that time given Harden’s age and just how poorly that franchise is being run.
Okc will probably have the chance to snag a few lottery picks in the upcoming drafts through their own picks. build toward a playoff team then potentially be loaded with top ten picks for years, or have the ammo to swing for superstars.

Kelly Oubre? But I was told he was more valuable to a team like the Hawks than Jrue? Was gonna fetch a top 10 pick.
