I mean at this point I’m happy with getting rid of both if it’s another first round exit at best

The team changing whatever he has on the injury report worries me especially since he wasn't even on the bench tonight.

More importantly what happened between tonight and last night when Zion was on the bench?

Something isn’t adding up

A little soreness that keeps you out 3 days, in what world would a Dr order you to not sit on a bench during a game?

Maybe the injury has shifted to having a sore a-hole.

Just curious was official medical imaging not done till this morning? Remember they misdiagnosed Herb until imaging showed something else.

I think this logically only can mean 1 of 2 things...

- Zion has a serious injury that will keep him out a while

- There's some kind of behind the scenes shenanigans going on with Zion, and Willie is stuck covering for him to the media. I don't have any guesses as to what it is but it would be some kind of frickery on the part of Zion... If it's not a legit injury that'll sideline him for a while

Unfortunately, this makes perfect sense. And even worse both of those two possibilities are really bad news for the Pelicans.

We genuinely should be about 7-1…. Instead we are bottom of the west.

We’ve have had such an EASY schedule and luck with GSW injuries and we have utterly fricked it.

Uphill climb now.

We need to make Boston our SG of the future and trade CJ for a big

That would be the smart thing to do.

I honestly think that he got up in the middle of the night to get himself a midnight snack, tripped over his dog in the dark, and twisted his knee.

SOMETHING happened, because the doctor doesn't tell you to stay home and not sit on the bench for some random soreness.

Agreed, IF a doctor actually told him that.

I think he wanted to play against the hawks especially after shootaround. But the med staff or Griff told him no. Probably pissed him off and he just didn’t show up against the blazers. Pels now trying to buy time to soothe things over with the “doctor recommendation comments.” I know Gayle has a lot on her plate but she may need to go over Griff’s head here and give Zion a call and figure out what the hell is going on.

Although at this point I agree trading Zion might be best. I can’t see how Griff keeps his job where he might have to trade BI(due to his contract not his play) and Zion this season.
