The crazy thing is the 2nd half was even worse than it looks on paper. Trey had a stretch where he put the team on his back and scored 10 in a row. Outside of that, that was probably the worst half in NBA history.

Man his rotations are terrible. Why go away from something that was working 1H? Borrego is probably a good OC but definitely not a good HC.

Idk if it's head-in-the-sand or typical hometown sports fandom hopeless optimism, but the fact that these posts are being made about a 13-39 team in year 7 of the Zion era deserves shame.

Mental illness
I don’t think some people on here realize how common it is to see even horrible rosters play well in moments in this league. It’s about consistency which we’ve never had. This roster will never turn the corner magically

The stark difference in the halves was on display for all to see.
In the first half we were sharing the ball, making Carolina move their feet, forcing them to rotate, had them switching and made them playing laterally. Ball movement always makes defenses work, keeps them guessing, and creates alleys and mismatches to exploit.
In the second half we became Zion-centric so Carolina sat back knowing exactly what was coming (don't we all?) They built a wall, licked their chops, and ate him up at the rim possession after possession after possession. We've seen this script before: Zion misses games and the ball moves. Zion plays games and the ball stops moving.
Bottom line: 64 points in the first half, 31 in the second half says it all. Absolutely unforgivable.

In any league. It's professional sports.
But some on this board are either so deadset on their initial projections on this roster that they are looking for any glimmer to say "maybe I can still be right", or they just can't handle that the team they root for is a fricking dumpster fire.
