Yeah man I can’t argue with someone who doesn’t understand that professional athletes playing basketball is different than playing a pick up game. Again, I’m not trying to be a jerk but to act like this is no biggie means you haven’t really been around an athlete or a game situation and how something like this completely messes up your team schedule. If you think its not a big deal, I don’t think you understand how much these athletes prepare their bodies to play a game and are creatures of habit.

This is the only third time its happened in CJ’s ten year career. Its a big deal to the team and players; maybe not to us fans.

I didn’t realize you were an expert on playing professional basketball. Please give me all your insights on how it all works. I didn’t realize that pro athletes couldn’t get treatment at the team facility if it lands at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. Is it because our crack medical staff all leave at 10:00 a.m. I also didn’t realize pro athletes couldn’t get up shots because they don’t get in until early tomorrow morning. I guess it’s straight to the layup line for warmups. I didn’t realize all that. Please educate me. I obviously am just clueless. I learned from you how important it was to win preseason games, so help me with this too

Dude I’m disagreeing with you, not being an arse. If you don’t want to listen thats fine but no need to go overboard. Is it ok for someone to disagree with you or that automatically means that their incorrect? I literally said im not being jerk but I think your wrong. Yes, I have worked with teams before in this situation and its a big deal to team staff and players.

Then don’t throw hissy fits if something happens to a star player. Zion himself hurt his hamstring on a normal back to back.

Again it's only hour n halfish flight. I could do it lol. I don't see how a nba team can't make it happen schedule wise. I could understand a flight from new York or Portland.

Its not just about the flight. I doubt you could play a NBA game competitively fly in the next day and play really well competitively again the next day. There is a reason nba players rarely fly in and play on same day. They’re overextended to begin with from last night, they’re not prepared to stay in okc so they then scramble to find hotels, they have to scrap treatments/shoot around next morning because they’re flying in, once they fly in they have to go home, at some point in a span of few hours- get treatment, shootaround, let your body rest, eat and make yourself ready to play another NBA game. This completely throws off a players whole gameday routine. Again athletes are creatures of habit. I know people want players to just do it and its no biggie. Then same people get pissed when players get hurt or hardly play and get blown out by 20 plus. The pelicans media and CJ publicly tweeted about it for a reason. Its a big deal for them.

I def could play 30 minutes, In 6-8 minute spurts. Go pass out at hotel by midnight...wake up at 7 n fly home. Arrive at 9-930 and Get home by 10...sleep/relax for 4-5 hours then go get body rubbed down and shootaround for following 3 hours. Luxury life. CJ laughing emoji should tell some of his tweet lol

But no I get where ur coming from/saying...out of routine, but cmon bud
All I'm tryna say really is they'll have plenty time to get/be ready for game only having to come from oklahoma

So now they’re scrambling to find hotel accommodations

Wednesday night in Oklahoma City ?

The Omni is probably at 40% occupancy

I’m guessing this was easier than finding food.

I’m not sure if the funnier part of all of these posts is that you keep saying the same thing over and over in different posts, or the fact that you think they are having to scramble for hotel rooms in Oklahoma City on a Wednesday night.

“54% to 18%. So we can’t play defense and we can’t shoot. I’m no coach but I would think it might be hard to win basketball games without doing one of them well”

- yeah Ok Coach

My dude, you have more posts than me on this site in six months than I do in almost 18 years. Criticizing me about the time I spend, and content I post on this message board exudes a level of lack self awareness unlike no other.
