You are right.

Philly should've taken the warriors deal.

Philly will be hard pressed to get anything other than poo for Ben Simmons and that contract.

Simmons saying he won’t report until he is traded honestly gives the Sixers the ability to sit him and withhold pay until he gives in or they get a deal they are happy with.

If Simmons is holding fast on his demand to play in California, he may end up playing on the Kings because I don’t see the Lakers being an option and I don’t know if the Clippers or Warriors will pay enough to make it worth Philly’s price.

Why would that be so funny?

The Kings aren't trading Fox or Haliburton. So if they get Simmons and get to keep their best players, they are going to be a good team. They would be better than us. Why would you be rooting for that?

Sacramento is the butt monkey of the league. No one wants to go there in part because the organization is so dysfunctional they can’t do much right.

This MAY have been fixed more recently by dumping Vlade Divac as GM but their owner is still an idiot and they passed on both Luka and Trey Young to get Bagley.

This bears repeating because they had hired Luka’s coach from the Euros to be their coach and he told them to grab Luka yet they passed on him. Supposedly because Luka’s dad and Vlade have issues.

I get the back channel stuff. But isn't that silicon valley? It's a pretty desirable place to live.

Also, as a franchise, they have been bad for awhile. But they have a decent history and a couple of good young pieces. They had the same record as us last season. We can debate if we got better, worse or about the same. But if they flip scraps for Simmons, they will be much better. That would vault them past us. So why would we want that to happen?

Edit.. I looked it up and it's not silicon valley. It's north of San Francisco, past Napa. I don't know if that is a good area or not..

Sacramento is the capitol of the state.

As far as NBA markets go, it is pretty low down on the list because you pay Cali taxes for well over 41 games yet you don’t get the LA or San Fran quality of life.

Combine that with being a team that has been historically inept and doesn’t have the money to compete and it is an afterthought in a western conference full of teams that could rise or fall quickly.

The great Jackie MacMullen points out that Ben Simmons had the 4th most assists on 3 pointers in the league and that he’s more valuable on offence than people realize.

Bayless talked about this game today.. LINK

Sixers at Jazz, without Embiid in February.
Simmons went 42/12/9, 12 for 13 FTs
He mainly played Center going against Gobert.
