The amount of people of social media commenting ... ‘trade to the lakers... we’ll give you Kuz’ or some other silly shite...

They have literally no concept of how salary matching works.... or also how good Jrue is and how crap Kuz is *roll eye emoji thing*

Not surprising really. Don't waste your time on non-dedicated NBA sites

If Boston is in play then the chances are it would be a 3 team trade. Third team takes Hayward. I believe in that scenario we try to send them Jrue and JJ for Jaylen and Smart. Figure out what we want to do with Lonzo/ Smart later.

I don't either. To be honest, i don't know why Boston would want to swap Smart for Jrue. I'd rather Smart, and he's half the cost.

What would you give up to get Brown?
Celtics don't have any future picks owed to them, nor do they owe any future picks to anyone, after this draft.

No way would they give up Brown, not to mention Brown and Smart.

The only way to even have a chance of getting Brown would be if they've identified a big they really like in this draft for starters

2 way wings with all star potential don't grow on trees

You could always swap Thad with Felicio, which would save them 1.2 million in salary. I'm looking at it from Boston perspective, where they need a big man. Realistically we could take on the extra salary and save Boston around 9 million, but I would want their other 1st also.

You have to look big picture. Smart isn't staying there long term with Kimba. They would be getting Jrue and JJ so it wouldn't be too unbalanced. And the main kicker would be a third team to take Hayward. That would give them some cap flexibility to get a center or fill out whatever else.

I’d try and get whatever I believe would be a part of a potential Booker trade deal next year and use most of that along with our other assets for Booker

The biggest issue with your proposal is Brown. He is a budding star and Celtics are not going to deal him in a trade for Jrue. Not a chance.

In that case a Wiggins package from GS or trading for and keeping MPJ might be the best bets assuming:

1) You can keep him healthy
2) He doesn't get the Zion treatment from Nelson and people think he's an injury risk because he spends the whole year not playing even though he's not really injured.

It looks like if Herro and MPJ aren’t on the table, the best deal is probably coming from GSW. It will pretty much test Griffins ability to turn Wiggins into quality players and/or assets.

smart is the easy piece to move, brown is still getting better and he's on a VERY good contract.

Other thing is, I don't see JJ being moved until the deadline. he recruited SVG hard, I can't see them trading him right this moment.

I'm not disagreeing with any of you. We are in the driver seat here and have multiple options to choose from if we go this route. We won't trade Jrue without trying to max out several of those offers.

I would agree with the top 3. No way we trade Jrue in the division and give Luka so much help.

The Mavs don’t have anywhere near the assets to get Jrue.

I really don’t think Celtics would be interested.

They aren’t giving up Brown. They might not even give up Smart

100% agree, but it would be nice regardless.
