Where would everybody like to see our boys end up? Here are a few of my favorite landing spots for the upcoming Pels talent firesale... assuming all we get are first rounders in return!

Jrue -> Toronto or Milwaukee
Mirotic -> Philly or GSW
Randle -> OKC
Elfrid -> let's keep him
Solo -> Houston
Etwuan -> Spurs

Let's make it happen. Where are some of your favorite potential landing spots for our boys?

I would keep Jackson and Okafor given their age and contracts.

I’d like to keep Jrue, Payton and Mirotic personally

WOW. literal no one answered or responded to this thread correctly. apparently nobody has an understanding of a player's "basketball fit." and/or can see through the short-sighted fog to engage on the enlightened discussion that the Pels are about to lose all of their fricking players. "yeah, let's keep Jrue!" says the unenlightened fan. "Let's trade Jrue for two firsts to the Raptors after we trade AD for 4 firsts from the lakers." says the enlightened nihilist.

And let's be honest, Silver can't do shite to stop a Pels firesale, but he can call Magic Johnson up, and say "1 first round pick? try 3 and i won't fine you $100 mill for tampering with LBJ, Klutch, and Bitch Paul.

Philly allegedly offered Fultz, Zhaire Chandler and 2012 1st for Holiday.

I’d take that trade after evaluating Fultz.

Anyway Holiday to Spurs or Raps for fit.
Niko in Utah or Philly
Randle in Milwaukee.
Moore anywhere

Ok, let me try this then..

Jrue: NOLA
Niko: Philly for Fultz or NOLA
Randle: Attach him to Hill a 2nd and cash to Chicago for Parker
Moore: Attach Diallo and send to Houston for Knight and a 1st
Payton: NOLA

Jrue is going nowhere.

Moore and Randle offers have been little to nothing. Expirings and worthless players (Maker) or expiring and mid or fake 2nds

Niko market hasn't been great either. Expiring and 2nds

BUT, they could get real assets for those guys if they take back an extra bad year. Houston would do B Knight and their first for Niko

Crabbe and real assets would be offered for Randle and either Wes or Moore

My gut is the Pels won't do it, but I don't see why. I mean, will they need the cap space next summer? And if they want to be good, Crabbe and Knight will have positive trade value by next February. Can package young guys or future picks with them and go buy.

They should acquire as many assets as possible, even if that means taking on a future year. But my gut is they keep Niko and Moore, trade Randle for something small. Hope I am wrong

I am sure there are aspects I would be awful at.

I would be good at the acquisition and building part because I am a sociopath (not a joke, in reality) and have no emotional attachment and an increased ability to be objective.

But me being a sociopath would also probably hurt my ability to build the relationships necessary to do the job over a long period of time. My friends and I both had opportunities to enter this realm. They did it and succeeded. I never would have based on what they have told me. Had to be yes men for many years to work their way up. That aint me

Know thy strengths and weaknesses ;)

On the plus side they won’t have much in the way of expendable contracts to trade for Blake. Maybe they’re trying to protect the team from ownership.

For me, its this simple - Which would I rather have:

Space and flexibility in the summer of 2019

Extra assets and 2020 expiring contracts

Its a no brainer for me. Give me door #2, let me make my AD deal and then I know my core - be it Jrue and Tatum or Jrue and Zion or Barrett with Knox.

Now, after I know my core, I got a ton of assets, young guys and three huge expirings. I can be a buyer again in Feb of 2020 - sending out expirings and a few of these assets or maybe that future Memphis pick, whatever, to add to my core. A guy that fits with my core.

Conversely, what am I going to do with my cap space this summer? Lock into Niko long term? Go chase some free agent that will only come to my rebuild if I overpay him?

No thanks.

I agree. I think most of the non Tatum/Zion assets should be about flipping for any 2nd tier star that becomes available. Having a new set of expirings and future assets should be the goal.

Yup. There is no reason to have cap space for FA. No one worth talking about is signing up this summer and they don't have anyone on the roster they need to save space for to lock up in the immediate future.

Pels will still be a lottery team for a while post Davis. Use your cap space to take on bad contracts + picks or projects (i.e. a Fultz) while you build around whatever the new core is.

If they do this right, the Pels can be the next "Boston"

In that I mean, they could be the team that comes up first whenever a disgruntled player comes available. Because they could have a bunch of young quality guys on the roster, paired with expirings and future assets (be it Memphis pick, future Boston picks, future Knicks and Mavs picks, etc)

No other team is just loaded with future picks (with exception of Knicks, but those could be ours)

Imagine having a core of Jrue, Tatum, and a few young guys and also having the ability to have the best package to offer whenever the next Paul George or Kawhi or Butler, etc etc comes available. Not saying you have to get him, but having the option to if you wanted would be nice.

We might even be a destination for that guy AD when his next contract is up!

If what you said about them wanting to chase Boogie in the offseason is correct, then we will need the cap space to do it
