We can cut Hawk
What happened to him. Back? Coaching? Not enough playing time ?
Understand defense is not there, but came in shooting

A shooter who shoots sub 35% from deep is a problem. With his defensive issues due to lack of size and lack of core strength, his shooting isn't good enough to overcome his deficiencies.
Compare him to Isaiah Joe with OKC who has all of the same issues but he actually shoots 40+% from deep so OKC finds a way to give him minutes. That is what you were hoping for with Hawkins but his shooting has not been good.

To be fair, I advocated for the Pels to trade Trey for a top 11 pick, other assets and pick Mara.
I'd still consider all 3 players as Centers, but I do recognize the need to matchup better defensively w Wemby, Jokic, Sengun, Edey, Embiid, and even the Dallas Centers.

I said this when we did it, he did nothing to even remotely close enough for us to have done that. Absolutely stupid to not include his as filler money to offload

It's all on his back issues. He's had them since high school. They are debilitating. Doctors can't figure it out. He's playing in legitimate pain (he's admitted this) while trying to learn NBA basketball and play at NBA speed. It was a bad pick by us, bc I am assuming we had access to his medicals and we have never been a place where basketball players come to heal. We simply picked the best shooter available and "hoped" his back would start feeling better after 4-5 years of it feeling bad.

Traditional offseason news linking the Pels to Turner.

I’d honestly love to have Jonas back for his last year before he goes back home to Lithuania to play before he retires. Missi would still be the starter (I think Missi makes a big jump this year) but you’d have a legit 7 footer that can go up against some of the big centers in the west for 20 minutes a game. He eould immediately help our rebounding also. It won’t happen but I think he’d be a great guy behind Missi as he’s a consummate professional and would be a good person for Yves to watch.
