He's not as good of a defender as Dyson and isn't as good of a scorer as hawk (idc what Hawks numbers say, willie fricked him up last year)

Now do the opposite.

He's miles ahead of Dyson on offense and the same with Hawk and defense.

I also said "currently" which doesn't mean this will always be true.

Dyson played more than Naji.

And Naji was better at everything in comparison to Hawk, including three point shooting even. There’s only a three year difference between Hawk and Naji. NO, he should not have played over Naji.

And as an aside, there wasn’t that much difference in total time on court between Naji and Hawk.

Should've traded him at the deadline and recouped some 2nds instead of losing him for nothing.

But no, Griff thought he was an integral part of a team that got dog walked in the playoffs.

Yeah why couldn't he make up for Zion being out!

I swear some of these takes. Naji was a good player for us.

All are true:

- Naji was a good player for us
- Naji is not worth going into the tax
- Naji > Nance/ Liddell/ JRE as backup 4
- If we can trade BI/ make other moves freely then he is worth 7-9mil

If we do have intentions on Trey/Zion playing minutes at 4/5 and adding another shooter/PG/C then I can see why he wouldn't be needed tho.

Can handle the ball, drive, run the break,
No he can't. Anytime he dribbles the ball it's a turnover waiting to happen.

one of our best lob throwers,
Is he? is this something you go into the tax for?

plays defense
He's a good, not great, defender.

shot damn near 39% from three
This seemed like an outlier. I'd rather Hawk take those shots than Naji.

I know fans want to see the rookies/first round picks. But they had no right playing over Naji last season. I would like to think that’s pretty obvious, and will be shown by his market in FA pricing us out.
If Dyson Daniels or Jordan Hawkins were UFA's they'd get double? Naji's contract, at a minimum.

I like Naji. Fun guy off the bench when your team is down a couple guys. He's not a guy who should be getting 19 mpg on a contender. Not yet at least, and we have too much young potential on the bench to give him more oppurtunities.

Jalen Green still has potential to be a superstar imo. And the light turned on for him as a team player and defender last year. Udoka coached him and he accepted the coaching.

Eason and Brooks are very quality role players.

This type of deal is better than people suggesting that Jarrett Allen should be the main piece back in a Ingram deal.
