Honestly I think you could throw in the Mavs first that the Knicks own to us as well. Because we’d be basically swapping picks with them this draft (If we did wind up getting the warriors pick) which would require them to send us another future first anyway. So we’d be giving them Wiggins for just frank or Payton.

Wiggins has had like a total good month of basketball in the last 3-4 years. Why are we fixated on him?

Half the people look at Jrue as an average offensive player and value him at that. Teams will look at his defensive status and being a top 25 player.

Alot of people will be surprised at the haul teams will be willing to throw for him

I am in the camp of people being disappointed at the haul we get for him. I really like Jrue and would hate to trade him, but hope we get a nice haul. Just seems that alot of people are expecting a treasure trove and we may just get a middle of the road player and protected 1st.

trade purposes. We don’t want him. he’d be sent to NY in this scenario

Bruh, there is no chance in hell we get the same thing for Jrue that Philly got for Fultz..

It will be closer to an AD type package than what you mentioned

I don’t know if GS would move Wiggins and the pick for Jrue. Maybe you talk about our pick and Jrue and you get a little closer.

Wasn’t Wiggins mostly viewed as a negative asset around the NBA with his contract? Not sure why we would have to sweeten the pot.

I guess that comes with everyone underrating Jrue..

You get people that don't think he can fetch anything in a trade

An AD package? That's delusional.

I mean fixated as if other teams would value him highly. I guess the knicks could considering the dumpster fire of an organization it is, but I don’t think deals can justifyably really be centered around him at this point

Someone cannot write. There is no way that we get closer to an AD package (3 young talented players (2 former #2 picks and another 1st rounder) and 4 1st round picks/swaps (including #4 pick in a draft and 2 unprotected picks) than a mid tier player and a 1st rounder.

Wiggins showed some promise with the warriors before the lockdown. I think the timber wolves are such a trash organization and it really wasn’t a great environment for him. New management For the Knicks might like the idea Of having the future 3 backcourt of lamelo Rj and Wiggins together. That would bring some excitement to that team for the fans. The new management want to make a good first impression.

All of this is kind of a long shot but I think it’s realistic still.

Wiggins is a better player than he gets credit for, but significantly worse than his contract.

In a vacuum he’d be an interesting fit next to Ingram. But nah.

We will get closer to an AD type package than a Fultz package...

Jrue is a top 25 player in the league and if he becomes available multiple teams will be bidding for him.

We will end up with at least 1 vet (mostly salary), 1 young player with great upside and (in my example Wiggins, has all star potential just hasn't reached it) and 2-3 mid round picks, or 2 higher 1st round picks

Priority #1 for Pels should be an athletic stretch 4 who can guard the rim, allowing Zion to play small ball center on offense and guard a forward on defense.

Forget an AD package, go sign AD. Gentry’s gone. And when the Lakers inevitably lose and Lebron passive aggressively throws AD under the bus, he’ll realize he’s in a lose lose situation out there. They win a championship, it’s all about Lebron and his 4th. Lose and it’s about AD and how he’s passive and doesn’t have that “Mamba Mentality.” So, he’ll bounce and we can bring him home. Come home, AD. We forgive you.

They are breaking the tie for 12th best lottery odds between the Pelicans and Kings today. No idea when or how it's being announced but look for it

While i agree that AD is the perfect running mate to play with Zion, i dont want his bitch arse back.

A healthy Kevin Love could work if we can get our perimeter defenders to defend better, and a better overall defensive scheme in general. He can handle bigger guys down low for the most part, as there aren't that many centers you have to worry about scoring in the post. His rebounding and outlet passing would do wonders for this team, as well as his 3 point shooting. His perimeter defense is terrible, and he's not a rim protector, which are big flaws.

I would not be opposed to trading for him, although i think there are better trade options out there. His salary is $31M/$31/$29M. Of course he's overpaid, but it's ok for us to overpay for someone in the short term b/c we have Jaxson and Zion for cheap for 3 more years.

If Olynyk becomes a FA, i wouldn't mind him. He's not the greatest rebounder, but he's a good defender and can knock down 3's, and plays with toughness that this team needs.

I still say Orlando is going to get rid of one of their big men, either Vucevic or Gordon. I'd be happy to take either of them, but I'd prefer Vucevic. Can't see them keeping Vucevic/Gordon/Isaac/Bamba/Birch together for long. Not enough minutes for all of them. Isaac has already made the turn into a really good player. Birch is older, but he's gotten more run with them recently and done well. WHat sucks is Isaac's injury and whatever the hell is going on with Bamba and the coronavirus. If they were ready to move forward with Bamba this upcoming season, then they would definitely move one of Vucevic/Gordon. They may need to let the season start and assess where Bamba's at, and if he is ready to be a starter, then you could see that Vucevic/Gordon trade at the deadline.
