Really hoping the Kings are willing to do a S&T instead of matching. I really want Evans and I don't want us to have to release a guy to fit him in the cap and then lose out on both.

Jones sounded pretty clueless to me

What are the chances we actually get him now???
eleventy
but seriously, it looks like no one truly knows now...seemed much more confident earlier in the day that he would be coming here but now the kings may be considering matching

They already have McLemore though, I think they are just trying to get us to do a sign and trade.

I doubt the Kings match. The fact it was reported that they weren't even willing to pay him 7 mil along with the fact they already have Salmons,Thorton and Mclemore on the roster makes it highly unlikely they would be willing to pay him 11 million if that is the number.

That's why I think they are just trying to get something out of him. Vasquez or Lopez maybe.

To be clear, he can't really sign, but they can come to an agreement and the Kings can state their intention if they choose.

You got that right.

I see. Still doubt they come to any sort of agreement. Maybe try to force a sign and trade with Vazquez going to Sac if they really need a PG.

For Heady?
In the wings?
No poison pill since the Kings have Evans' Bird rights. It may just been too rich for their blood or whatever, but not structural obstacles are in play.

Roberts. Cheaper, more their style, methinks, and waive-able.

Ok, if this happens do we trade Vazquez for another three or keep him. Jesus all the possibilities are making my head hurt.

Kings owner Vivek Ranadive, GM Pete D'Alessandro, coach Michael Malone met with Tyreke Evans in LA & stressed how much they want him.

No clarity on whether they'd match offer from New Orleans, but Evans left encouraged by the message that was sent. He likes it in Sacto.

I suppose they should say that though, in order to get as much value out of him as possible
