That's if Evans "signs" the offer sheet.

I stand corrected then. Evans will probably secretly let the Pels know that he accepts then.

What would we have to give them in a S&T?

Vasquez seems to be the popular option. I don't know if we could with Gordon but I don't know why they'd want him with Thornton and McLemore.

If it's a sign and trade I'd expect a lower contract number.

@McNamara247 : Kings meeting with Evans at this very minute, discussing options and whether they plan to match or not. Next couple of hours will be huge

How crazy would it be if the Jrue Holliday trade secretly didn't go through?

Then we would be stuck with

Evans
Gordon
Iggy?
Davis
Noel/Lopez

You never know

Isn't all trades official July 11th? So jrue isn't even a pelican yet. I mean this board has thrown out all kind of speculation, I just wanted to cover all the bases

McNamara caught me up, we talked moves, cap. Reported Evans deal works with existing Room sending Lopez and either Roberts or Harris. - 42

So 42 says we don't need to move GV.

We can them move him to get help at C/SF. Can we use the MLE after that?

@bourbonstshots The Pelicans have shut down some inquiries for Eric Gordon. Are they committed to him? Deal in place? Waiting for increased value? - 42

I'm not going to lie, this has been the most exciting beginning of free agency in pelican history.

Sam Amick of USAToday.com has more details on the Pelicans and their interest in obtaining Tyreke Evans.
quote:

Evans has serious interest in signing with the Pelicans, and will likely agree to sign the deal if the Kings tell him later today in their meeting in Los Angeles that they will not match. Owner Vivek Ranadive, general manager Pete D'Alessandro and coach Michael Malone are expected to take part in the meeting, and a person with knowledge of the Kings' thinking said they are considering matching the offer if he agrees to sign it. Evans is visiting with the Detroit Pistons before seeing the Kings.

Not much competition considering it's the only pelican FA we've ever had...

July 10 is the first say paperwork can be signed.

The deal is all but binding. It's not official, but there's basically no backing out. The deal can be altered, however.
