Nothing too earth shattering in article but the arena is definitely a major concern that will have to be addressed.

Silver said “every NBA team, regardless of location and market size, needs a model, state-of-the-art arena to compete in the league.”

Then the NBA as a whole needs to chip in and build them

Not just that, but a new/upgraded arena usually means price increases. People are already balking at next year’s price increase, would a fancy arena renovation price the team out of the market?

Gayle needs to at least chip in $300-400m. Oschner and the Archdiocese will both tell her not to.

I see a lot of complaints about the food, but the team thinks y'all like it. You people are either a vocal minority or you need to get better at taking surveys.

Have actually brought this up. The Pelicans have said the data they’ve collected indicates fans are happy with the food.

Don’t disagree but we need a new arena. It would be great for Nola and would help develop downtown (assuming that’s where they put it).

They're balking because the price increase comes during the biggest single season collapse in franchise history. It's the optics, not the price.

If the team wins and wins consistently, people will pay the price.

I've been to five different NBA arenas within the last 2 seasons and I'll say that the SKC by far had the most eclectic food options. Dallas was the worst, where outside of two taco stands, the food offerings are the basic stadium food shite.

Krispy Krunchy is the only good food in the arena. I crush a renders box almost every game

I don’t see why people would want a new arena as it only makes it more expensive and honestly it has been a good experience to watch a basketball game.

The food is solid and I am there to watch basketball.
