Reek is a ballhog and that shite needs to stop
Posted on 11/17/14 at 11:40 pm to GynoSandberg
We have a lot of clueless fans then.

Why does it seem like opposing teams always have wide open 3s down the stretch? They always make them too. And when we get the exact same shot we miss it every fricking time.

You don't have to be a monty apologist
Anyone who blames this game on his is clueless

That's what happens when you give up a lot of offensive rebounds
Posted on 11/17/14 at 11:41 pm to danman6336
Not if you keep sidestepping the blame of tyreke who deserve 40 of that 50 percent you're throwing at holliday

That our bench is filled with a bunch of players who shouldn't be in the NBA?
OK?

That the one NBA level bench player we have is an incredible liability rebounding and on defense?
So he's bad because he had a rough game?

That our highest paid player is too afraid to take charge when he needs to?
EG? Well yeah
quote:
That the guy not afraid to take charge is an elite charge-committing, possession-wasting, charge taker.
Oh right tyreke sucks now.

That we have the stupidest coach in the league?
I'll give you that

That Portland can beat us without Batum and with Lillard having an off night?
Lilliard really didn't have an off night. Allowing trash like kaman to do that good hurt.
We also didn't have one of the best defenders in the league so that evens out.

Because those things were all shown tonight.
You're overreacting to one game on the road.

Because of dumbass defensive lapses. The same guys you know are good shooters they seem to forget that as the games goes along. Scust

Fair enough, I can live with that

Holiday needs to understand he was an all-star by default. Rose, Wall etc were all out with injuries.
You're taking it a bit far now.

Dude, seriously..... Im not one to make snap reactions and scapegoat somebody for a loss. This is about as clear cut as it came. It wasn't cold shooting that I have the problem with. I understand that happens.
Why was Tyreke allowed to take 18 shots and turn the ball over 4 times today. Why did Gordon only take 6? Does Monty not have the balls to tell him to cut it the frick out? Does Monty think Tyreke forcing drives is a high percentage play? Was he just spectating?
Did you see their offense making adjustments? When they saw Ryno or Withey in, they started attacking his horrible interior defense. Why didn't we attack Robin Lopez' complete helplessness of guarding AD in an iso?
Posted on 11/17/14 at 11:46 pm to LosLobos111
Holiday was playing out of his mind the past 6 quarters until the 2nd half tonight
Reek...well Reek has been garbage for a few games now

offensively, there is no players cutting and moving around without the ball for a flow. It is watch a guard dribble the air out of the ball and attack 1v3 in the lane for a wild shot. This is shite that should have been addressed in practices. Install an offense. Watch Popovich teams move without the ball.

I think they do tell reke to pass it and all that and he does... For a couple of minutes

no. Im not saying he's bad. Im saying he is so bad at one thing that it kills his value. Is he good as a 6th man for the Pelicans? sure. But all this game did is confirm that he's who he is and its filler that plays on losing teams.
This game did nothing but show that Davis is the only thing that can win this team games. Seriously, where is the optimism coming from? That we hustled on defense? You think we are gonna become the Grizzlies now?
For the record, I'm still optimistic. But its in spite of this game. My optimism is that EG gets some confidence and returns back to being solid, Tyreke cuts it the frick out, and AD just becomes too dominant for the bench and Monty to derp it up.
And no. Tyreke has always been bad. I cannot stand him and it has nothing to do with his contract. He just doesn't play winning basketball.

Ok, let me re-phrase that
Reek's layup actually falling has been garbage
And he's a ballhog

What exactly is to be optimistic about?
We're the 5th youngest team in the NBA. Next season, we're likely going to have the same top 6 guys, maybe the 7th best guy (Rivers), plus an MLE wing and a bi-annual exception player. It's not ALL about this season. We just need this team to improve as the season goes on and they get experience together. Every road game they've played has been against playoff teams, and they've won 1 and played the 3 others close.

correct. Evans is the type of player that Popovich would never touch. He just doesn't contribute to winning basketball. He puts up average stats at a ridiculously high opportunity cost.
