Yeah his stat line may suck but his impact on the bench is very noticeable, I almost cringe now whenever I see rivers setting up a play instead of him. He's almost like the assist version of Brian Roberts haha He could shoot but not run point and it seems like mekel can run point but not shoot.
You think his lack of offense is gonna be a big enough negative to effect stuff?

Like you mentioned, I love him solely because he puts AR at the 2 and allows him to pick his spots. AR is not terrible, he is a suitable bench SG who can give you a little offense. Mekel will get better. It has to be tough for a true PG to be effective when you don't know the scheme or the guys.
