I know winning isnt everything in the preseason, but to me it seems defensive 3 pt woes still exist? I saw the Knicks knock down a ton.

Is this a real concern or should I just be looking at shot selection from the Pelicans and what not?

I think the only real thing it highlights is it's still going to be a bit of a shite show when AD's not on the court dominating on both ends.

Some interesting and maybe concerning points from Jake Madison on his podcast this morning. Pels have the worst offensive rating in the NBA so far, and have given up over 70 points in the paint twice. I know, small sample size and preseason who cares, yadda yadda...

Hopefully it doesn't carry into the regular season.

I think you heard it from AD after the open practice when he said, "you know what you'll get from me during the season" statement.

Just like in the all star games, AD gives such a shitty effort in meaningless games. I don't even know why he plays if he is going to have that attitude. more harm than good is likely to happen.

I expect a slow start to the year. Hard to turn effort on and off and we have new rotation pieces that need to gel. I see the Pels hovering around 500 for at least 20 games and that’s probably best case scenario.

Preseason basketball is a joke. Literally pointless.

This. We arent going to roll out all of our sets and defensive packages. Probably just worked out of base stuff more than anything else.

Good preseason = no injuries
Bad preseason = injuries

That is all

If we see/saw useful play from non starters.

You know the best guys.

What can frank and the other lesser guys do?

I just saw highlights of doncic.
He can pass well.
He's smart around the basket, with both hands. I saw him.drive and finish with off hand.
He's not Larry but he's darn good.

How about frank?
Any 2 way contract guy look like he can play?

I would just say to focus on the development and role players. That still won’t be an accurate assessment because they won’t get to key off the core guys who are not playing all their minutes.

Preseason is about looking at different lineup combinations.

The fit of the players is something that will carry over into the regular season. If a new guy isn’t fitting in during preseason, he isn’t going to magically fit in during the regular season. And if he does fit in, that will continue.
