Lonzo basketball IQ is not very high. That will always be a problem

The entire offense sucks in the 4th/OT. Not just Lonzo. It's either Zion forcing up a shot over two guys in the paint, hoping for a foul or BI taking a contested midrange jumper. The whole offense gets stagnant and we never get any open shots.

I agree, but what he did last night was just stupid.

BI came in the game with 8 minutes left and got us back to being down 1 in 3 minutes, just like he did against the Pacers.

After BI hit a free throw to get it within 1 with 5 minutes left here's what we did:

Hart missed 3.
Lonzo missed 3.
Lonzo missed 3.
Lonzo made layup and 1, actually makes his FT.
Lonzo blocked layup.
Zion dunk.
Lonzo missed 3.
Adams made 2.
BI made jumper.
Zion made 2.
NAW missed 3.

On top of that, we were up by 3 with 1:35 to go.
SGA gets by Lonzo for an and 1 to tie it.
next possession Lonzo fouls him shooting a 3, makes all 3.
SGA gets by Lonzo again the next possession and misses the layup.
Next possession Lonzo fouls George Hill b/c he doesn't know how to go straight up.

He was horrible the last 5 minutes of the game. Absolutely horrible, and what pisses people off about him is that he probably doesn't even give a shite. NAW misses the game winner, and you see him after the game shooting 3's.

He literally ran up the court and went for a layup 3 times in a row without ANYONE touching it. He should have been benched at that moment.

Do you watch the games? He had a path to the basket and was trying to score or draw a foul. Twice the shot was blocked and he got no call. Do we now not want him to attack? NAW shot almost as much as BI and Zion in much less minutes. Without the threat of JJ, they were the 2 who were taking 3s.

I agree, the second half was embarrassing. The offense has sputtered late in the last few games. I wonder if the high minutes the players are playing along with such a high focus on defense is tiring them out late in games. Beldsoe was completely gassed late and only played 25 minutes. Defense takes a lot of out players (which is why players like Harden and Lebron "choose" when to play defense). For a young team, they just look tired late in games.

He's too afraid of contact to ever learn how to finish at the rim. It's just not in him

More specifically he’s afraid to go to the free throw line...the numbers are terrible.

I wish he and JJ had value right now. I'd package both of them with a pick to just get a competent 2 guard or a stretch big with a semblance of defense.

Lonzo and Bled on the court together isn't working. They are too similar and neither are perceived as a threat from 3

Lonzo to Charlotte
Bledsoe and Monk to Kings
Reddick to Nets

Devonte Graham, Taurean Prince and Buddy Hield to the Pels.
Nets would likely need to send a pick out, not really sure if Charlotte thinks they are getting fair value with Lonzo for Graham and Monk, so maybe they need that Brooklyn 21 1st.

Then all we need to focus on for the near future is a stretch big.
