Yes AD is exciting.

I'm referring moreso to actually winning games.
well then why are you complaining about not getting "exciting players"? you are extremely undervaluing the asik acquisition. we have a lot of extremely talented players on this roster, AD/jrue/reke/ryno/asik/Gordon. that is more talent than a lot of teams around the league. there are many teams that would kill to have that group. if you can't get excited about those guys then don't know what will excite you outside of getting a LeBron or Durant

Theyre a brand new team. This roster has no one on it from even three seasons ago. Entirely new brand. New court/remodeled arena/logo/jerseys/coach/owner..etc etc etc

I was a hornets fan. Theyre the old team. They no longer exist here.

this reasoning makes no sense. no team in the history of sports has someone that was there for the entire tenure of the franchise except recent expansion teams

When youre a small market team, you absolutely must get lucky and have a Durant/Duncan/CP3 level player. A star that will put butts in the seats. I think/hope AD will be that next guy in that star level of player, but we all still have to wait to see if he'll reach his potential. Which I think is something like a Duncan/Garnett hybrid. He's got a high expectations to live up to.

Unless you know something the rest of us don't EG has been on our roster for over three seasons now.

Also, if you don't know who Tractor Traylor is, then we can't be friends.

we did, his name is Anthony Davis

so while we are waiting we have to get a Durant/Duncan or cp3 level player to get you excited? you realize how unrealistic and absurd that sounds

so if a team has all new players they are not that team anymore? I guess the saints aren't the saints anymore because they don't have anyone remaining from the 95 roster

I think youre more unrealistic and absurd if you assume every Pelicans fan should be purchasing season tickets and selling out the arena every game with the current roster and current sophomore player AD. Where are your season tickets?

Youre no more of a Pelicans fan than me or the next guy. Youre problem is that you Tigerdroppings too much and yore too quick on the snark/troll trigger. Be realistic man.

You just need to give it time. The Pelicans biggest needs were a center that could rebound and defend, we probably got the player with the best combination of that skill set in the league, and a role playing SF that can hit 3s. Neither of those needs are remedied with big name players or making a splash.

as good as a 2003-2010 Tim Duncan 1999-2007 Kevin Garnett??

No, friend, he's not there yet. He might get there in a couple more years, but not today.

Why are you comparing AD's first 2 years to the prime of those guys careers?

AD's first 2 years are better than KG's first 2.

And Duncan is Duncan and is probably the best PF ever.

AD averaged 20&10 in year 2 and lead the league in blocks. It's safe to say he's on the verge of being a true "star" player.
