Yeah that roster would be so fricking legit defensively. We would have good to great individual defenders at every starting position, as well as some decent backup defenders.
Would need to add someone on the bench beyond Morrow that's only job was to score, but still, damn.
Also, not happening.

No, it was just talk in this thread. Batum fits in with Portland very well, so he isn't going anywhere

Who's their backup SF?
Dorell Wright.

I don't see why they'd want Monroe over Batum, but if they did really want Monroe, it might take Batum to make it happen. We certainly wouldn't trade Ryno for whatever Lopez and Dorrel Wright could get us.

I guess this is the first big shoe to drop.

Chris Bosh 5 year deal will return to Heat, per source. Dwyane Wade will re-sign for 4 years in Miami.
It would appear LeBron is staying with the Heat. I think Melo might drag things out a bit, is he even meeting with Houston today or is that tomorrow?

Melo signing would really make the pieces start to fall. Then you would have teams scrambling to try and get Deng, Parsons, Monroe and trade for Love. Then I'm sure you'll see a flurry of moves.

The dude that tweeted that is the only source on it from what I've seen...he's also from the Oregonian FWIW

Chris Bosh’s 5-year deal with Miami expected to start at $11 million in year 1. Dwyane Wade will sign four years, $12 million in year 1
That's a lot of coin Bosh is leaving on the table if true.

I would fap so hard if we landed Batum. He's one of my favorite players in the league.

The only Batum rumor to us comes from an insider on PR that admits it was NOT based on inside info, it was just him spitballing.
There is nothing to see there. Yall need to set your sights a little lower.

Damn, Bosh really wanted to stay in Miami. A 5 year deal at that. You HAVE to think he has ETOs after years 3 and 4.

I'd go this route as well tho. Bosh already has enough money for the next generation of Bosh's. Why not take less money and win and be happy than go to somewhere like Milwaukee, make several more million, but be irrelevant for the rest of your career. Props to Bosh.

I think this is true. I read some interview with him this past year and he basically said "after everyone in the media and public took a dump on me seeing me as the 3rd worst superstar on the team rather than the 3rd best superstar, it helped me understand what's really important in life." He seemed pretty happy where he is.

He was the most likely of the Big 3 to stay in Miami.
