I would have preferred Holmes, but I don’t hate the Missi pick. He has a much higher ceiling.

For the people hating on the Missi pick, who would you want instead?

He's a project. And our track record in developing young players isn't great.

Missi wont play this year. If you’re going after projects just get Collier.

Like like year, we took the guy everyone expected us to take -- the totally obvious pick -- and we've got people here freaking out in shock.

Christian Clark's piece has Missi as the most likely pick. Why are some of y'all losing it?

I hope Missi does get minutes, but I agree I worry about that with Willie. Hopefully we do the Likely route and give him the opportunities but allow him to come along slowly.

As to collier, I understand people like him but I’m not personally. At this point and with what’s on the board, I’d rather roll the dice with Missi though I admit the odds are he washes out

I'd have taken Holmes, Filipowski or Collier ahead of Yves...maybe even Scheirman. Stop taking projects! Looking forward to seeing Missi in the lineup in 2030...

Yeah, I mean I get not being excited about this pick, but being pissed off about it seems a little much.

Good footwork

Not afraid to shoot the 3

Athletic

Just a fricking brick by picking this dude

He also could be a back up 4 and give you minutes there and an undersized 5 like Gafford that can stretch it a bit. And you can put him into the rotation from day 1.

Dadiet is another fun project we could have drafted.

I actually like the pick. Pelicans need thumpers.

Celtics taking the Creighton guy is a perfect fit. He’s a guy I would have loved for the pels. Big, can shoot the hell out of it and is a monster on the boards. The rich get richer. He’s insurance if they lose hauser due to money

Pretty much every national writer had us taking Missi. Crazy that so many can peg a pick so easily at #21. We are as predictable as they come.

So none of those guys are projects and will step right into lineups?

He fixes one of our main problem which is the PNR. I think Yves rebounds are low because he rather go for blocks than rebounds. He is a decent offensive rebounder though. I can see him fitting with Zion on the PNR also if they decide to double team Zion. I do wish we have a center who can pass and shoot outside, but not too upset about the pick.

Don't think P&R with two non shooters work. Teams will just simply sag off. They need a guard who can run the action and is a threat to shoot.

Exactly. Unless you go get Trae which we all know Griff is to much of a pussy to do, Zion and Missi PNR would be a disaster, teams can just drop 3 into the paint
